Now that I look more carefully at this, I think that it is actually Erin Andrews throwing that pass. This is the zapruder film of sports reporting.

If not for the receiver behind her, it would look like he did it on purpose.

I love Pam. I met her a few years back. She let me take her picture. She is very nice, highly intelligent and good at what she does.

I prefer either as a sideline reporter over Tony Siragusa.

I like Pam more than Erin.
I do too but it is because I think Pam is very knowledgeable of the game of football in general than Erin. Pam has earned her keep after all the years she has given Fox. I wish her all the best moving forward in her career.

What difference does it make what she looks like? Nobody judges Joe Buck or Al Michaels for the way they look.http://i162.***BLOCKED***/albums/t270/cajuncocoa/Emoticons/well.gif

It's still TV, and the audience is still predominately straight men. As immoral as it may seem, it means A lot.
It reminds me of the scene in Inside Llewyn Davis where Max Casella comments on why men come to his club to see Carey Mulligan, and a few for Justin Timberlake.
(funny line, good movie, if anyone is a movie buff;))

To be honest I think the guy who took pictures of her thru the key hole did her a major favor. She is pretty enuff and smart enuff but she wasn't going anywhere before that.

Good Lord. So some pervert films her without her knowledge & it ended up being a good thing because it helped her career? What if that was your wife? Your daughter? Your sister?

As countdown to Super Bowl winds down, so do days on final year of Pam Oliver’s contract

This is the life she has chosen.

That is as good a way as any to rationalize the season of twist and turns Pam Oliver, Fox’s veteran sideline reporter, has experienced.

Her road to Sunday’s Super Bowl telecast was pitted with potholes of emotion, physical challenge and the kind of competition typical in a cut-throat business.

In August, while standing on the sidelines at Met Life preparing to work a Colts-Giants exhibition game, she was hit flush in the face by a pass thrown by Colts backup QB Chandler Harnish. Oliver suffered a concussion. She was forced to spend five days inside a dark room in her house.

In October, she came here to host a Super Bowl breakfast for business leaders, dropped a few tongue-in-cheek lines about New Yorkers complete with tweaks of Jets fans and Rex Ryan, creating a fierce backlash she didn’t expect or deserve.

All season long, Oliver, who has been with Fox for 19 years, 12 working as sideline reporter with the No. 1 team of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, watched the Foxies continue treating Erin Andrews like a queen, giving her a major push on college football and NFL telecasts. Andrews has joined Oliver on the sidelines during the postseason. The Foxies all but fit Oliver for a second-team jersey.

Why are we talking about this, is she going to be added to the Cowboy's coaching staff ?

Thats because their job is necessary to the broadcast and is not based upon their looks only their ability to convey what they see on the field to the audience.
Do you think Pam would have got the job in the first place if she was not attractive? Nope, that position is meant to hold guys attention during a break in the action with a pretty girl and now there is a prettier girl capable of the job.
As soon as Erin starts to show her age she will be replaced by the next hot young thing and in my opinion there is nothing wrong with that. Foxs job is to entertain its target audience and that target is getting younger not older.

Pam Oliver brushes off criticism

Pam spoke with Jenice Armstrong from Philly.com and gave her take on the matter:

“It’s the psychology of it that I want to understand,” she told me during a phone conversation Monday afternoon. “It’s comical. This whole thing is just comical.”

As we chatted, I asked her about a commonly held notion that all sideline reporters do is show up on game day and hold microphones.

“No, I wish it were so easy. It’s a process. I do my own hair and makeup – insert joke here,” she deadpanned. “I’m up early. I’m at the stadium about 4 hours before the game, just going over some last-minute stuff and then waiting for some players to come out, which is generally 2 hours before the game.

“You’re out there, trying a to catch players, get some last-minute stuff, get your reports turned around quickly, and I may or may not have time to put on lip gloss or powder my face,” Oliver explained, adding that she doesn’t have hair stylists and makeup artists with her on game day. “I know TV is a visual medium, but there are times when you kind of hope that people are listening to what you’re saying as opposed to judging you if a strand of hair is not in place or if you have only got one eye lined or something.

“That’s naive of me. I get it. But there are times I get so tunnel-visioned and focused on what I’m doing to the point of maybe letting that other stuff fall by the wayside. It’s not intentional. You want to look your best on TV.”

“Usually, the most important thing to me is getting my information and getting it right and hoping that everything else is going well with the hair and what little makeup I have left and go from there,” she explained. “I’m a little focused on what I’m doing. Maybe too much for people’s liking.”

I love Pam Oliver, she is hot and a true professional, she has earned a lot of respect from the players for the time she has put in.

I had to google Erin Andrews, I thought meh, typical blond bimbo. Looks like she belongs on Real Housewives of .......
