One of these teams are gonna be looking at Dan Quinn
Unless he’s dying to be a head coach, why go to a bad situation when this defense has so much potential. I can see him leaving for a good spot, but how many of those are really available?

Wonder had they defeated the Niners if Rhule would have still been fired?!

One reason I wanted to go with a proven coach like McCarthy is that we know that he can win in the league. We don't know how much of it was him and how much was having a QB like Rodgers, but he does have a Super Bowl title.

When fans speak of wanting the lastest college hot commodity, there's always big questions about whether they can succeed on this level. Most of them don't, but teams are always on the lookout for the next Jimmy Johnson, even though they are rare.

Slightly surprised Owner didn't keep him on till the end of the year in order to get a top pick as there was no indication he could turn it around

You do realize that the last two years exist, not just this season?

For what? What did he pay for Darnold? And Mayfield? Is there any sign of progress there? Or a plan?

Not many people get head coaching opportunities, and I believe they said in one of the games that Quinn wants to be a head coach again, and most teams looking for a head coach aren't in a good spot, so can't be too picky

A coach is really only as good as the players on the field. Wherever Quinn goes he won't have Micah and that will change his outcome most definitely. He knows that.

The Panthers GM allowed it to happen and neither Baker or Darnold are going to carry a franchise....im just not a fan of firing early into the season regardless of previous record

Rivera's problem as a head coach is similar to McCarthy's. They tend to focus on their area of expertise and neglect the other side of the ball. The years their teams were equally good on offense and defense are they years they got their Super Bowl titles. McCarthy seems to be acknowledging that he understands this. Rivera hasn't figured it out yet.
