I know that there are only 32 of these jobs and sometimes you have to strike when the Irons hot...but seriously don't take an NFL head coaching job unless you have a plan at QB
Just looking back at the Head Coaches hired before the 2020 season
Joe Judge...Fired
Now looking at the results from this season, Judge was bad, but also his fate was in the hands of Daniel Jones
Matt Rhule...Fired
Trading for Sam Darnold was the best they could do last year and trading for Mayfield so late in the offseason was never going to work. Given the lack of QB talent in the 2020/2021 NFL drafts, he should have stayed at Baylor
Ron Rivera...Seat is extremely hot
He's partially to blame for taking Chase Young over Justin Herbert, but Taylor Heinike and Carson Wentz won't help you remain employed
Kevin Stefanski...probably safe
I don't see him going anywhere despite the steps back the team has made since 2020, since they traded for a QB that they knew wouldn't play, but at lease he realized Baker wasn't the answer and moved on. Odds are if Deshaun Watson doesn't hit the ground running in 2023, he's gone
Mike McCarthy...playoffs will decide
I don't see him going anywhere, but out of all five he had by far the best QB situation and it shows
