Oh no did they change it? We don't have them up here in NYC area. I go to California Pizza kitchen here. The pizza that I eat from them usually comes on a honey dough. I tell them to give me the thin crust that doesn't have honey in it.

Pizza dough should not be sweet.

Yes, it has been a year or so but they did make it sweet. You're right, it should not be sweet. I don't know if they did it to all the crust, I only eat the thin crust.

I can't believe there aren't Pizza Huts in NY.

I used to eat at Mazzio's too. It used to be pretty good. Godfather's used to be pretty good too but we don't have one here anymore except in a truck stop and it isn't very good.

Edit: now that I think about it, it has been more than a year

Two locations but I'm more familiar with the one on Norfolk, close to Shepherd, between Richmond and the SW Freeway.
I'm putting that on my list of places to visit. I'm an undercover foodie.

Me and new foods are friends. lol

That sounds like a good idea. I might do the same. This thread has me craving pizza.
You're not kidding. I've been looking online for delivery places in my neighborhood...everywhere except Papa John's, that is.

Where I live they don't have any at least. I've never seen one in Manhattan either.

I don't know if you like Double Daves or not but they've put up a couple of new stores around town. I really like their pizza rolls and the Dave's Fave pizzas.

Ive seen some Double Daves coupons, so I know there are a few nearby. May even be one by my job I can check out.

Gonna do a search now.

Edit: There's one in Clearlake. That works. Thanks Duane!

There are a few things that make it better and different back east in NY then in other states. One is the water, If you haven't had pizza with "wet mozzarella cheese then you are missing out right red?

Thank you for that. I did not know :)

I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and there were some local pizza places that made excellent pizza. In the 27 years I have lived in Texas I have not tasted one pizza that even comes close to what I grew up on.

Some parts of the country are known for excellent pizza (NY, Chicago) and some just get by on Dominos.

This is true.

And just for the record. For me, its not, "I live in NY its the best and nowhere else can it be any good". Chicago pizza is very good too. And I am sure there are other places.

Just cant have franchise pizza in same conversation is all ;)

The Austin area has some interesting local choices in Brick Oven Pizza, Mangia's, Conan's (though their management did a good job of running this local chain into the ground), and more recently Rome's (which has some really odd and interesting combos - they make an Indian curry type pizza).

There are probably others that I haven't had the fortune to discover.

I like the occasional frozen pizza. I actually had a Red Baron pan pizza last night. It was surprisingly good for frozen pizza.

Frozen pizza's have really stepped up their game over the last 20 years. No longer are all of them a piece of cardboard with weak sauce and about 3 pieces of pepperoni covering the entire pie.

Almost had Stouffer's French Bread Pizza for supper which is downright tasty!

We buy Tombstone for $3.99 on sale and you know it's not bad for a cheap fast supper.

Not a pizza fan, tomato sauce hates me, but Pizza Hut meat lovers, light on the sauce.

I had exactly this last night. So good.

I would choose pizza no contest if I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life.

I should call them. My buddy just said the same thing to me in this same discussion.

I haven't had Dominos since it was horrific. My son has been hooked on Little Ceasers lately. We only have one in town that recently opened. Thank goodness its just up the street from our house.

New approach for LC is that they have it all ready to go out the door. They only have 3 pizzas they do this way but they have all of these warming ovens going w/ the 3 ready to serve along w/ ready to go bread stix and sauce and cheese bread.

Cheap too and good pizza. The crust is excellent.

LC is great for the price. Love the cheesy bread also.

That sucks because they have a pretty good pizza. Oh well. That's what they get for being the official pizza of the Washington Commanders. :laugh1:

Domino's pizza is pretty good too. Used to be horrific.

Dominos has stepped up their game bigtime. They make a solid pizza now.

Papa Johns is pretty expensive. I can't believe they sponsor the Commanders. Can't quit that garlic dipping sauce though.
