If he had another year left, he would have tried to finnish here.

Comparing our talent to their talent anywhere but in the secondary or WR is a JOKE.

When was Wade rejected by the Chargers? I hate stupid statements like this.

lol, if Bill was still our coach, or we didnt' hire Wade, Wade most likely would have been Marty's replacement

Maybe Smith never saw Phillips and Cameron as his top two candidates.
Those guys were his buffers with Marty. I think with Cameron he had to kind of see that coming since he was high on the Rams wish list last year, but the Phillips hire had to be a shock to him. I think he took for granted that if their was an issue with Marty that he had Wade to fall back on.

Bill just wants to play the horses in Saratoga. Stick a fork in him.
He'd have Del Mar, Hollywood Park, Los Alamitos, and the county fair races all within striking distance. Better weather, and better looking women than Saratoga (hehe).

Hmm.... San Diego's First and Second this year sound pretty good. Oh, wait, let's make it two firsts! That's what the Bucs gave up for Gruden, right? I like Parcells, and rather he finished his career out in Dallas, but draft picks are golden.

Well, a man can dream, anyway...

Yes BP has 1 year left on his contract. Jerry could release him from the contract if he chooses. Myself I think this is nothing more than a rumor.

Why jusy release him from his contract? They can get draft picks from San Diego if the Chargers truly wanted Parcells and Bill does want to coach. Same thing for anyone interested in Bill Cowher. The Steelers won't just let him go. They will try to get something in return. I too think it is just a rumor.

I agree I'm just saying Jerry could release him if that is what he chooses to do. I know Jerry did say that we would not have to pay the remaining dollars to Parcells but I think we still hold his rights not too sure about that. In the end I think we both agree that this is not going to happen.

We'll revisit this in 11 months.

Yeah, I would hate to see him take Soprano and Bowles with him, that would offset any compension San Deigo would give us.

Parcells isn't interested in taking over a loaded team. His thing is to take over a crap team and make them good again. He enjoys that challenge. He won't take over the Chargers.

Yeah, he isn't Phil Jackson. :laugh2:

Actually, he'd be hard pressed to get them to 9-7 in the AFC, it'd be more like 6-10.

Nobody thought BP and J JOnes could work together before 2002.

I am glad to take draft picks for BP.
