Parcells to Chargers?

Tuna to the Chargers?

Guess who was first on the San Diego Union-Tribune's list of potential replacements for Marty Schottenheimer?

If you said Bill Parcells, you must have read the headline to this post.

Is it feasible? I think so.

We all know Parcells quit his Valley Ranch gig, citing questions over whether he could muster the energy to do such a taxing job another year. Well, I'll wager that LaDainian Tomlinson, Shawne Merriman and the rest of a team that went 14-2 might give the Tuna a sudden charge of energy.

You know Parcells' massive ego is wounded by the fact he went winless in the playoffs in Dallas. San Diego would give him an excellent chance to restore his pride by riding off into the sunset with a shiny Lombardi Trophy.

Today? You must not read the majority of these threads. :D

Besides, it was meant tongue n' cheek.

As for the D, it was a typo.

Too bad BP isn't still here so we could trade him to the Chargers.

let the chargers hire him - they will then owe us some picks.

Unrealistic but MAN WHAT DRAMA...

Parcells does go to Chargers and we meet them in the Superbowl! Former coaches vs. former teams! The irony would just be too much!

Chargers GM A.J. Smith and club President Dean Spanos have tremendous respect for Bill Parcells. In fact, the Chargers wooed Parcells in 2002 before hiring Marty Schottenheimer. Parcells has accomplished something Chargers ownership doesn't believe Schottenheimer ever will: lead a team to a title.

i wonder if thats even possible. me actually i would like to see that to show u people that SD success might actually be because of talent. instead of a damn scheme or how a coach coaches it.

That would be sweet if we could get a pick for manboobs!!!

I would take a 2nd rounder right now, no questions ask. I will even buy Tuna the plane ticket to SD!!!
:laugh1:

Hmm.... San Diego's First and Second this year sound pretty good. Oh, wait, let's make it two firsts! That's what the Bucs gave up for Gruden, right? I like Parcells, and rather he finished his career out in Dallas, but draft picks are golden.

Well, a man can dream, anyway...

I would take a 2nd rounder right now for manboobs and call it a day:)
