Parson's doesn't think Henry would have helped

I didnt read the whole thread but I tend to agree with Micah somewhat. The Oline started real slow but Henry is an upgrade over Dowdle and Zeke and everyone else they had. I still think we could improve in the trenches and i wouldnt be mad if first pick was OL

parsons is a bit of a moron, so I dont care what he thinks.
Henry of course would do better in balt. but he could have done some good here too.
They didnt even call him lol. They ignored barclay too ! they just wanted elliot back lol.

van...woohooo. I am upgraded....man, I would be living in luxuary then...awwwwsssooommmeee. and a river to boot, that means weekly washing...man...you are a dreamer....awsome. just awsome.

its my break at fish cleaning facility. I am not allowed to work so my break ends in about 10 minutes.
Have a good one, but, I do enjoy the civil back and forth

It can work both ways. Just look at Saquan. He did nothing in NY for 5 years. He finally gets on a team with a decent QB and OL, and look what happens. Hurts isn't a better QB than Dak, particularly in the regular season.
Barkley was a final piece for them. Took them over the top.

I’m sure Jerry thinks Jeanty will do that for Dallas. Good luck pal.

This team ABSOLUTELY needs a DT at 12 and not to screw it up. I promise that they don’t go in that direction.

Of course Derek Henry would have helped us. He would have certainly been much better than Zeke running the ball.

He would have helped us sustain some drives that would keep our defense off the field and help them.

Not to mention with Derrick Henry and Rico on the roster for next year we wouldn't have to draft a running back and could use that for defense or offensive line

Dowdle rushes for 1,000, what would DH rushed for?

The line seemed to get better once ZM sat.
A good deal more than the backs not named Dowdle last year.

Having both Dowdle and Henry would mean we always would have had a decent back on the field, and that was far from the case last year.

Dowdle averaged 4.6 YPC. Prolly about the same as Henry would have.

Hurts isn't flashy but he makes key throws under pressure when asked too. Add in his mobility and I think he is better than Dak. He hung 35 points without Barkley in a close game to KC in the SB. Dak has played KC and can't even manage to lead the team to TD.

Philly was going to be elite with or without Barkley. Barkley NEEDED a team like philly to finally reach his potential as a player.

I think Stephen and Jerry learned their lesson last year sitting out free agency. Since we've had no luck drafting DTs , maybe they look to free agency to fill that spot. We NEED another WR and a CB. There is a very real possibility that Diggs career as an elite Cb are over. He's likely going to miss at least half the season and who knows what he's going to look like. A smart team would reach an injury settlement with him and move on. The list of players who have come back from tearing all 3 knee ligaments is very short and requires a lot of dedication in rehab............something we haven't seen from Diggs in the past.

Hurts isn't passing QB. He is the ultimate bus driver QB who moves the chains. He's never going to have a lot of TD passes. His career high is 23. We saw last year that he cannot carry an offense with his arm. Thats why they went out and got barkley. Philly is a run first team and Hurts passes just enough to keep the safeties honest. He didn't even have 3k yards passing the year. You put him on a team without an elite defense and OL, he'll do nothing.

The situation he played in was perfect, the end result was not. Plenty of blame to go around in Baltimore, and putting it on Henry wasn't one of them
Not assigning blame. Just saying if it was the perfect move, the Ravens would be winning the game this Sunday.

Uh…..how would he NOT have helped. Good grief.

So very very accurate.

Sorry, I fully disagree with this take. There is no argument that the move was perfect for both player/team, and the outcome of their loss has nothing to do with this. Only 1 team wins the Super Bowl, so in your way of thinking any team that makes a significant signing...trade or draft pick cannot hold the "perfect signing...trade or draft pick..unless that team wins the Super Bowl. I can list a million of these that have been made, and in none of them can the result be tied to a Super Bowl.

And Jameis Winston was throwing for 5,000 yards down in Tampa and 30 plus touchdowns. It's not always about stats.
Hurts not only accounts for passing TDs but rushing TDs also. So I believe this season he had 32 TDs. When you have a QB that can run that's a problem.
Jalen hurts has made more key throws than Dak has ever made. There is really no comparison. Hurts is the better QB. You put Dak in that team and thier not in a SB.
You sure like that term bus driver but that bus driver has to make some key throws at certain times and Dak has not shown that he is able to do that in a playoff game.

How quickly you guys forget that Daks game against the Eagles when wentz was the QB and it was a win and your in-game and the Dallas defense showed up and held them to 13 points and I believe Dak led his team to a measly three field goals again just like in that KC game. Dak is the worst QB under pressure.

Hurts isn't Lamar Jackson. He's not fast or elusive. Half his TDs come inside the 5 yard line on QB keepers or "tush push" kinda plays. He is the strongest QB in the NFL from the waist down. I'll give him that, but as a QB, he's a bus driver. He just keeps the chains moving.

I don't really disagree. DH was put into a perfect situation with the Ravens

Micah, it’s would have, not wouldn’t have - when you preface wouldn’t with don’t it becomes a double negative.

Well if you're ok with being short of a Lombardi after making the perfect move, cool?

There is only 1 goal. Win the Super Bowl.

Credit the Ravens for having another very good season. However if Henry was the "perfect" move, they seemed to already have the team in place to get it done and did not.

Maybe the Henry signing was excellent, but the "perfect move" wasn't made.
