Parsons epitomizes what this team is

You guys disgust me. Just pure ignorance being shown here.

Defenses build their entire gameplan around stopping him yet no one else steps up to take advantage of that.

If he were the only defensive player on the field, some of you would still call him out for not getting sacks.

I knew the Zone would be a toxic wasteland today but a bunch of the vulture posters who’ve come out to feast on the carcass of this team weren’t even around in the regular season.

Shame on you.

he is too small for a consistent DE, every year wears down by game 10. he should move back to LB and rush 30% of the time. That said, I dont know if he play LB anymore given how he has been used his pro career
Parsons is a big reason this team should switch to a 3-4. Make Parsons a full-time OLB that can sometimes drop into coverage.

Being honest this team might have a lot of 3-4 personnel already. Mazi Smith could be a fit at nose tackle, Chauncey Golston is big enough to be a 3-4 end, and maybe DeMarvion Overshown could be the other outside edge rushing LB opposite Parsons.

The best way to stop the run is to go 3-4. That’s the actual purpose of the 3-4 design. If you have a talent like Parsons to play at OLB, then you get the added benefit of a great pass rush because he doesn’t get doubled as much.

But to your point, he did talk a lot of crap about how phenomenal he was going to be.

The Patriots had their share of massages from sex slaves and homicide issues. Gronk didn’t spend his free time teaching children to read or even learning to read. Winning covers a lot of ugliness.
I would rather Jerry be getting rub and tugs at massage parlors than him sitting in the draft room pretending to know what he is doing.

Parsons is an all world athletic talent but despite all of the hype, good teams seem to find a way to neutralize him and make him average and ineffective.
He talks a good game but seems to disappear in big games. He like many others in the Cowboys organization/team build on/up the hype and talk a lot before the game but come up small when it counts.
And now Parsons will be paid at the Top of his position along with Dak, despite no real achievements and they will hamper the teams ability to resign and retain players relegating this team to also ran status.
Trade him.
He is too small to play DE.
He will not age well.

We need big boys in the middle to take on these double teams.
With a dominant middle linebacker, Parsons could be moved to defensive end and still moved around as now. The strong middle backer could be moved up to the line for a 5 man rush, which Green Bay ate the Cowboys lunch with yesterday. Vander Esch and Overshown could then be the outside linebackers. There is enough secondary talent to make this a pretty strong normal group here and now. This allowing the defense to push momentums instead of clinging onto them.

If the defense can get steamrolled WITH PARSONS on the field, they can get steamrolled without him. This is the off-season to trade him. He's an amazing talent at a low salary who could get a huge return. If Dallas gets a new coach, I could see an overhaul beginning with a Parsons trade.

Ware won because his back 7 had dawgs, he had von Miller and Peyton. People still think a dt would've stopped Sunday lol. Slap daron payne on thus team in Hankins place we still get dog walked.
All Ware needed was a huge NT that pushed the middle of the pile back into the QB's face. Too many times Ware was just milliseconds from getting to the QB only for the QB to step up into the middle and throw or run. You close that middle and Ware eats.

Many of us forget that Micah is a kid. And has the misfortune to play for an org that places no emphasis on him working on his craft.

Does he disappear? Or is that the offense only worries about him because we don't have any LB'ers? Look DeMarcus Ware. If Jerry had provided a true, huge NT, we'd be talking about Ware being the greatest pass rusher of all time. I remember people saying that Ware also vanished as well.
This, when youre pulling double and triple teams, and none of the other guys on the line can take advantage, that line truly sucks. Potentially also the scheme sucks too if noone else can do anything take Parsons off their best guy and move him around more or play him as a LB and have him rush in.
He also (finally) drew two holding calls against him, those are essentially sacks.

Will say his talking outside isnt matching his performance anymore, but hes still basically a teenager, hopefully we can get him someone to set him straight.

Agree. He needs to tone the mouth down. That's what is turning a lot of us old farts off.

Ratliff was undersized. He was good for a while but then his size disadvantage wore him down. We needed a goliath of a man who ate metal.
yeah, had to look back and forgot we had him at DE then converted him to nose, sounds par for the course with our undersized middle. What id do for a Maryland or White up the middle.

Perhaps a DC who is smart enough to actually use Parsons for what he is - a hybrid option who sometimes rushes. He isn't Demarcus Ware or LT or any of this other things, he is an undersized guy on the defensive line who wins because of speed but is nullified easily.
