Having your agent negotiate the best contract possible isn’t ‘screwing you over’. I have an idea: Why don’t you and everyone you work with take significantly less money so that whatever company you work for can hire more people and give their customers a better experience? Maybe it’ll be better customer service, response times, faster production times…whatever. It’s EXACTLY the same thing.
