I think when it is all said and done 10-15 years from now when Parsons is hanging up the cleats we will be talking about him as one of the best defenders in franchise history. I personally believe we may have found a hall of famer. This is in no way a guarantee, just my opinion based on what I have seen so far, but there is absolutely no reason to think he will not continue to get better for years to come. In a league where every player is a physical freak, he explodes off the screen as an absolute monster. His combination of size, speed, and awareness is almost never combined in a singular player. He plays fast, but smart and tackles with violence we haven't seen around here in some time. His positional flexibility is also just not something that happens in the modern NFL. Tell me another middle linebacker that can play defensive end at a pro bowl too. We will be waiting a while for that answer.
I loved Ware and grew up watching him blow past tackles. #94 was the first Cowboys jersey I ever owned. He is without a doubt a first ballot HOF player and one of the greatest pass rushers to ever play. #9 all time for sacks. I would imagine my generation of Cowboys fans thinks about Ware in the same way the older fans think about Randy White or Charles Haley. Acknowledging the stars of today does not detract from the careers of Cowboys greats from years past. I am sure at one point in Ware's career it was considered blasphemy to say his name in the same sentence as franchise greats. Not so much any more. Demarcus Ware is Demarcus Ware, and Micah Parsons is Micah Parsons, but I think the two will be talked about in the same conversations when it is said and done.
