Don't forget Sam. I think when Sam is healthy I try to use him as DE as much as possible & let Parsons roam as a LBer. If Sam had been healthy yesterday, I think we could have let Parson's spy Fields & it could have taken away some of those Fields runs.

We need to reduce his beating as much as possible. On that note, what the hell was he doing in the game when we are up 20?

Amen bro...get your starters OUT of there up 20 for gosh sakes. I mentioned it in the game thread yesterday: it's ludicrous and unnecessary.

Honestly, I don't think he will have a long career.

He is worn out and nicked up. Dallas is going to break the new toy before his 5th year option can be discussed.
I've been saying this since day one. This young man is a stud and they're going to turn him into a dud if they don't back off the D-Line stuff! If he isn't being chipped, he's being held and you can see the pain in his face as the game wears on! Quinn needs to keep this young man at backer and have him blitz every once in a while. This would keep him a lot fresher as the second half of the season winds down.

Its insane, and can't come up with a logical reason for it.

Team needs this bye week, but MP definitely does.

Don't underestimate a groin injury. Those can take away both a mans agility and lower body strength. I just hope the bye week can get him back to 100%. Groins can take forever to heal, and while they have limited his snaps every rep he has taken just puts more stress on that groin.

I cant complain because they got Ws, but I would not have been against just shutting him down for Detroit or Chicago in order to be 100% after the bye.
A groin injury would probably linger all season.

He looked worn out when he came back to the bench later in the game. He entered the game with a shoulder problem and during the game he was limping after a tackle. His groin could’ve been acting up. They were spelling him during the game a lot and he does appear to be wearing down. He’s only got one speed and it’s full on go. The bye week came at a good time for him.

We know this young man loves football, he loves it so much that he'll continue to play through an injury. It's clear that he's not 100 percent healthy. I'm sure as always, in the summer they will tell us "Micah Parsons played with an injured leg since week 3!"

I love how they're using him sparingly, you don't do that if things were good, there's a reason why they're doing this. I think he's taking on a lot with these run plays, I'd almost like to see him at LB, then on long passing downs come in and rush the passer.

With rushing the passer that's becoming a drag as well. One of these offensive tackles are going to take his neck off before the season is over. He gets held every play!!!

I had a theory that the refs have to call things against Micah a certain way, as NBA refs did Shaquille Oneal! Shaq was a dominant force, refs had a hard time officiating him. You have Micah who has TOP speed going against slower individuals, I feel like they're giving up not calling holding on every play to kind of save the offensive tackle from looking bad.

I believe that when your team has built a nice lead you can rest you best defensive player who's nursing a pulled groin. I would consider giving him a few weeks off if needed because they are going to need him down the stretch.

He's banged up for sure and the holding is absolutely relentless and the officials are out and out criminals for not calling it.

That said like many young bucks I knew in the day his pain tolerance is through the roof and his pride and adrenaline will push him through almost anything in his early twenties.

After these games he is no doubt feeling like hammered hell.

The coaching staff needs to save him from himself before it is too late.

He's asking to play offense. If he's worn out then it would be news to him.

he looked wore out and beat up to me.
Dallas could have rested him the last 2 games, to make sure he is ready to go after the bye when harder games are coming.

If they cant beat detroit and chicago without parsons, that is pretty bad.

I think he’s injured more than he’s saying and they’re trying to snap count him. Bye week came at the right time

This is a good post. Here’s the deal…Parsons needs to play more LB and chase people down. Lining him up at DE every snap is going to slow him down. He caught a lot of double teams yesterday. T and TE, G and T…it’s too much. I think they have to restrict his pass rushing to 3rd downs and obvious pass plays. Have him read and hunt. Imagine if they had him spy Fields yesterday…much different game. I do worry he is rushing the passer too much.

I said last year that one of the downsides to him rushing the passer on a consistent basis is that he's not built like a DE or DT. He's going against 300 plus pound men. That wears you out and wears you down over time.

I think he's feeling it this year.

I feel sure that Sam Williams will be getting the lion's share of the RDE work from now on, and in the future. That should, hopefully, relieve a good portion of Parson's work as a DE. He's ideally suited to man the MLB spot, with his quickness and aggressiveness. As it is now, he might be physically limited for the rest of 2022.

Why in the last 2 mins with Chicago waving the White Flag and a back up QB in a 20 point blow out is Micah Parsons or Diggs or any body Tank still on the field . I happened to notice # 11 dragging himself to the bench in this closing forgettable game moment and I’m thinking what is a HC thinking not taking your top guys out in a 20 point laugher.

Parsons is not a DE, playing him there constantly to please him is a bad idea
He will get worn out there and be done by the time playoffs roll around
He’s a LB that can rush and can be a huge help in our run game
Play real DEs at DE and play Parsons and Clark at LB and Hankins and Osa at DT

This will solve our run defense problems
