Dak slobberers getting angrier and angrier, lol. You can set your watch and check off the names on which loser is going to pop out from behind his rock to cry.
Anyways, I don’t really see it. Mahomes defining characteristic is his amazing physical ability... which makes him difficult to compare to anyone really.

Another thread not even about Dak and you again insert Dak's name into it. Dork as usual.

I see some similarities for sure, although Mahomes is superior.

I guess it is awesome when you are compared to someone you have out achieved in 2 years what they achieved in 10 years. I love when Cowboy fans still try to put Romo ahead of Cowboy QB legends. It is so ridiculous, it is comical. Dak Prescott who is vilified on this forum was 2 yards from breaking his single season passing yard record in his 4th season and has 1/2 as many Pro Bowls.

Romo with Parcells his entire career maybe (maybe) would have reached the status some Cowboys fans put him on. However, he is not the 4th best QB in Cowboys history behind Staubach, Aikman, Meredith, and White in that order.

If it is about stats then Dez Bryant 74 TDs makes him better than all the 88's before him....NOT!

I honestly don't like Romo and he scared me to death.. I thought he was choker... Having said that, I thought it was cool that Mahomes grew up liking Romo.. Thought it was news for some forum goers..

I enjoyed watching Romo mature as a QB. But all too oft it was for not. Not all on Romo either. Sad that we couldn’t get it done with a capable QB.

With that said, I still feel like Dak is a capable QB as well. Everyone likes to say that conditions need to be perfect for Dak to succeed. I think the same applied to Romo for the most part. Justin Tuck (former Giant DE) said that he believed the 2007 Romo team was the most complete team he had ever faced. Even surpassing the Pats. Things that make ya go Hmmm?

Im all for Dakota getting us the Lombardi but the FO seems to be having reservations concerning the mega-contract he and his agent want

I truly hope Dak and his agent don’t try and break the bank. We’ll see how the old man and son negotiate.

I do want him to get his money, but not to where he hamstrings the team. Stay tuned!

In most eras there are 4-5 QB’s people can argue about being the best
With Mahommes that may not be the case
There may be him and then the second tier
The kid is amazing

Figures Bayless would make that comparison. Romo was a gunslinger that’s the only comparison. Mahomes is way above Romo in every regard. It took Mahomes only two years to accomplish more than Romo ever did.

Please do take my off season post to serious (even though factual). I have to get the venting out before being optimistic for the season.

That's nice. He grew up in Texas. But, I grew up in New Orleans and never was a Archie Manning fan...Roger Staubach was the man, the myth and the legend. With Saints fans wearing grocery bags over their heads, being a Cowboys fan was a sign of intelligence from the late 60's-early 80's, and then got rewarded with the 90's.

But, I understand Mahomes grew up in Texas, went to Texas Tech, threw the ball all over the place like a stat machine, and did not finish with a winning record with 1 bowl game appearance and lost the game that would have given the team one .500 season...so that is a good Romo comparison as a youth growing up.

He should thank God for Andy Reid.

Minus the turnovers, speed, athleticism, clutchness.......I could see it.........../QUOTE]

:laugh: :lmao::lmao2:

Uh, no, Mahomes is a freak of nature. Romo was simply a semi-mobile, gunslinger. Big difference, IMO.

Only some key injuries will slow down Mahomes, preventing him from winning at least a few Superbowls. His arm strength, athleticism and accuracy are a unique combination. Maybe more like Aaron Rodgers (and I don't like A Rod, but that's besides the point).

Agree with you on the first part but as to the 2nd, I think Mahomes compares very favorably to Rogers....both have supreme arm talent, and while they appear "slow" based on their combine results, they have the agility and pocket awareness to extend plays and frustrate defenses.

The comparison makes your roll your eyes because Romo never came remotely close to reaching the status that Mahomes has reached.
