Similarly, a study[15] by Brian D. Lyons, Brian J. Hoffman, and John W. Michel found that Wonderlic test scores failed to positively and significantly predict future NFL performance for any position. The Lyons et al. (2009) study also found that the relationship between Wonderlic test scores and future NFL performance was negative for a few positions, indicating the higher a player scores on the Wonderlic test, the worse the player will perform in the NFL. Results from this study were recently highlighted in an Atlanta Journal-Constitution article by D. Orlando Ledbetter.

Another study done by McDonald Mirabile has proven that there is no significant correlation between Wonderlic scores and a players results as a player in the NFL and no significant correlation between Wonderlic scores and a quarterback's performance or salary.

Corners have about the lowest amount of assignments minus kickers. It's not complicated at all.

Like i said in my first post. I like peterson and if he was there i'd like it if they drafted him too. But with all the players that dallas has that make everybody scratch their head this could be a headache dallas doesnt need. So im glad he wont reach dallas.

really tho how stupid do u have to be to score low on this?

Hey man I know. That's just a sample tho, not the real thing. Know one ever said you have to be book smart to be good or even great. Dexter Manley couldn't read when he was in the league. It's not about how test in math, science or things on the test. It's about learning a football play and assignments. I've known guys who couldn't read at a 3rd to 5th grade level but were some really good footbal players. One was captain of a defense in college. Called all the audibles and adjustments in the games at the LOS.

That's lies solely on coaching! Not the players. Sure the players should know, especially in the nfl but only the coaches can make sure they know.

Remember the reports about wade not correcting mistakes during practice. Expecting guys to change it mentally once the watched it on film. No way a guy like Jenkins should be coached like that. He needs a coach who demands perfection before they run the next call/situation.

Every team has players that are highly intelligent and every team has players that aren't. It's on the coaches to know who those guys are and make sure they know where to be and what to do. I mean that's what the word coach means.

You sound like me. A guy who wouldn't b caught dead not knowing every play, call, audible and so on. Not all are like that. Heck most aren't like that. Especially now a days. You rely on coaches more in that dept than every before.

Wonderlic aside...not sure why Peterson is the be all/end all player we should be looking at. Peterson is not the one player this team needs to push them over the top.

I agree. He's good, but Dallas has bigger needs. And they involve protecting Romo

its a red flag for me.the questions are real easy, all you need is a couple of days of practice and you can do very well.It tells me that PP was not prepared for the test.

wonderlic is certainly not a real predictor; however it does seem that scores below 15 are something to think about. Might also be a case of what questions that they get right and wrong too.

I agree. I watched him alot, and he ws not Deion or Mike Haynes reincarnated.

If he fell in our laps and was the BPA on our board, I'm fine with getting him, but there's no way I'd trade up for him as some suggest. He isnt worth giving up early picks to get.

Since all the top players have issues, Peterson will not likely lose any ground in his draft position

The overwhelming image I have of our secondary last year was of guys pointing fingers at each other because someone had blown a coverage. I'm less concerned about a Wonderlic score than I am about whether the player understands his assignments and coverage. I don't want any more "pointers" in our secondary.

As long as he isn't stupid on the football field.

We have to have the dumbest team of all time with how we give up some of these games as it is.
