Just doing the math. 1 (we can do whatever we want) + 1 (Patriots have to re-sign their other tackle to a short term deal) = 2 (Fleming is overwhelmed with our offer and just wants to show it around to his family before he signs it)
As to number 3, my guess was that the Jones have no ink pens in the office for him to sign with, and someone has been sent to the local Office Depot, thusly accounting for the delay in signing the “overwhelming offer”.

Something tells me Fleming is staying in Dallas. He came here and no one has heard anything. Now either he was kidnapped or he's just never leaving.
Well I felt Fleming was holding out to go back to NE and that option may not be there now

Good thought, if it were true.

Everyone agrees the Cowboys made an offer of around $16m a year to Sammy Watkins. They obviously have ways to make cap space. It has been shown repeatedly even if you don't believe it.

I was surprised that the Pats hadn't resigned one of them. They already signed another vet tackle, so the path to Fleming should be set. Will be interesting to see what NE paid him. Fleming should be a similar $$$. Waddle was actually higher on the depth chart so it would seem there is something to go by.
I have doubts we offered that for Watkins but though I’m no cap expert, it’s obvious we can clear cap space to sign anyone if we want to
I suspect Fleming may be the next one
But after that I don’t expect much more
I think money aside they want to build thru the draft as much as possible
With that in mind they need to be working a way to add a second or at least another 3rd rnd pick
We don’t need 10 guys, we need 4 or 5 good guys

Shouldn't take this long to go to Office Depot for pens when you have this..............

He was sent to Guantanamo to be water boarded, with the goal of learning all the Patriots secrets and also to force him to sign a team friendly contract with the Cowboys.

I do kind of think we only are going to sign one or at most two free agents of any note. Maybe some vet minimum guys but nobody that will start or be a significant contributor.

Wonder how much he received? Should give us a ballpark estimate of what Fleming is seeking.

Are they next to the free agent aisle?

I think that's on the other side of the store. If they can keep Jerry from getting too focused on the beer and wine section maybe they can make it over there too.

Waddle was the true swing guy. And one I targeted day 1.
Fleming slightly less valuable and really more a RT.
But I guess we may well get him now.
Texas kid and I won't be mad that's for sure.

Something interesting about Flemming is he played OG some in his first two years with NE, so there may be a thought of plugging him in at LG and leaving Collins at RT.
