That's my point. How can you now reduce the penalty on the cheater? His team is no longer fighting it and there is no new evidence that we know of. If anything was going to be reduced by Goodell, it was the team penalties.
It doesn't make sense for Brady either. He needs it completely overturned for his legacy.
He didn't cooperate so I don't see any room for a dismissal.
I think the Pats dropped it because they were caught red handed. Anyone that actually read the Wells report can see that. The attendants basically admitted it and the all of the balls were tested and were found to be way below the limit. The Colts balls and all the balls after halftime were not affected.
