Hey, Roy....file this one away. Ya never know.

Goalie deal

The Flyers agreed to terms with 6-foot-4, 195-pound Ohio State goalie Cal Heeter on a two-year, $1.85 million contract that starts in 2012-13. Heeter, 23, a St. Louis native, went 13-11-5 with a 2.45 GAA and .918 save percentage this season.

Yea i saw that tidbit earlier today. Always like bigger goalies so we'll see what happens. I think Bob can be a star for years if he gets his chance though. If it isn't here it will be somewhere else unfortunately.. but nice couple games by Bryz.

Man, if I knew it would have this effect I'd have ripped Bryz sooner.

Back to back shutouts.

Yep - he must read your posts.....

Goalie getting hot, maybe the hurt guys should just stay out? The question is can they beat the Rangers? 0-5 against them with 1 game left to play.

I think the Rangers are winning the cup this year.

Wow!

Another shutout!

Not sure when we've seen a streak like that by a Flyer's goalie.

I think I remember Garth Snow having 4 straight shutouts years ago. I think it was him.

Anyway, this is like watching a completely different player. i keep waiting for him to come back down to earth. He's stealing games right now with a team missing too many defensemen.

A stinko game last night... Where's the offense?

Eh. Who knows. I'm thinking having that many rookies on the team is an issue. These kids aren't used to the grind.

Another shutout! Remember last year, when we had none?

It's to the point of ridiculous.

3 straight shutouts. 4 shutouts over 5 games.

I have no idea what he's doing, but keep doing it.

The Flyers actually played a pretty sound defensive game tonight. Bryz only faced 17 shots. No doubt getting Timonen back helped.

As an aside, I've been thinking all season that it's the Rangers' year. But with the Penguins this hot and now getting Crosby back, I don't know. That team is dangerous and, lucky us, as of right now we would have to play them in the first round.

Well Bryz is back to looking like Bryz. Not one save in the shootout today.

Shootouts are tough. Even the best goalies can have bad efforts in shootouts from time to time. Bryz has played very well today.. made alot of tough saves.

As much as I love the Blueshirts and am pumped about what they've accomplished this year...I don't see it happening.

When it comes down to it, they just don't have the talent. I like the top-6, especially now that Richards and Gabby are clicking, but there are too many 4th liners on this roster.

Prust, Boyle, Fedotenko, Mitchell, Rupp, Scott and Dubinsky (who actually has talent) all give you nothing offensively. There's a lot of minutes for those guys every night...

Bringing Zuccarello into the mix might help, especially on the power play, but teams are going to be able to shut down Richards and Gabby, and there's nobody else to put the puck in the net. Maybe Dubinsky or Anisimov can get going, and I think Kreider will make the jump when he's eligible (guy can really skate) but the team right now won't win it I don't think.

If the Rangers hold the one, I really hope its not Washington in the first round. That's a team that can beat the Rangers in a 7-game series.
