I think its a great comparison. We were throwing the ball all over the place with no run game. Defense was pretty much about equal. Cant even decide which one was worse. We had a great run game in 2014 and no run game prior. Both teams had Romo and a great passing attack. Other than the run game, it was pretty much apples to apples. Same coach. 8-8 with no run game, 12-4 with dominant run game. Its not always that simple, but its speaks to me.

2013 Cowboys will go down as one of, if not THE, worst defenses this franchise has ever fielded. On top of that, the carousel at play calling duties produced the most vanilla offensive scheme even though we had the same weapons we would have in 2014. I'm talking Tecmo bowl levels of predictability. If I recall, we only had one game where we had the lead starting in the second half. No...I'm trying hard to erase that year.

If Dallas isn't taking a QB at #4, I'm leaning towards Dak Prescott. He's got a Romoesque pocket presence, similar measurables. Better runner.
