Bus driver Dak has destiny in his hands as he has till the end of the season to convince Jerry and Son that he is worth top 5 QB cash.
Personally I wouldn't give him 2 cheeseburgers as he's a carry me QB and baby that don't come cap easy......

P.S. And yes it's October 26th, 2019 and Dak F. Prescott is still without a new Franchise Contract.....

What are our options if we don't "pay" Dak?

How much is the Franchise Tag for a QB? $30 mil?

What if we Franchise Tagged him and traded him for draft picks? Is Cooper Rush ready to step in and be our next Tony Romo?

I like Dak ... but I'm not comfortable with one player eating up 25% of the cap.

Cooper Rush? I've seen nothing from Rush that makes me think he's even a worthy 2nd stringer, much less ready to step in as the starting QB.

Dak gonna get payed,, lets just all understand that already.
I don't want to even know how much,, I don't care.
He just the next man up, just be glad its Dak.
The way this league is, it could be Gardner Menshaw if he were next man up getting 40 mill a year,, it doesn't matter at the QB position, its just next staring QB contract up that needs to be payed.

He had one bad game, we’ll see how the rest of the season goes but if he keeps up his price only goes up.

Unless he goes on some sort of tear and the Cowboys win a Super Bowl, he is going to be stuck where he is on the salary scale.

Dak Prescott is going to get his contract. There's no need to rush because both sides know it's happening.

Not to get into an argument about Dak's value; but I have a suspicion the "framework" of the deal is done. The issue is probably over guaranteed money, and knowing how Dak concentrates so much on football, it probably won't get done until the season is over.

A lot of fans need to realize how fortunate the Cowboys are to have Prescott. We lucked into a franchise QB in the 4th round when this league is full of first rounders currently falling flat on their faces (Mitch Trubisky, Carson Wentz, Joe Flacco, Baker Mayfield, Jameis Winston, and Marcus Mariota say hello).

I don't know how much Dak is going to get, and I can't guarantee he'll live up to that contract, but this I do know- the last thing the Cowboys and their fans should want is to start over again at quarterback.

Yes, 24 years of Hunger and no glory have us reaching and accepting new toilet level standards.
May the Grid-iron Gods take pity on us as the next 2 months will bring a lot of people here down to Earth.
