Speculation about what? If you get caught taking PEDs it's not the same as smoking weed as you questioned earlier.

I ever stated the whole Defense is on PED's but you must be confusing PED's with substance abuse situations and they aren't the same. They carry a whole different set of penalties and guidelines.

HAHA thats why Troy and Joe kept talking about the "speed" the Seahawks had. Thats not something the Seahawks introduced into the NFL. People been gettin Jacked up for games since way back. If they can't get amphetamines they'll use plain ol caffeine. At least they didn't back into the playoffs with a 9-7 record.

Only recently did the players' association begin its extensive awareness push, which culminated in a memo to agents on, telling them to inform players that they shouldn't use Adderall without proper authorization. (It's hard to get this authorization: A prescription alone is not enough. The NFL grants exemptions only if the pills are prescribed by a psychiatrist or an M.D. working alongside a psychologist. Even then, the psychiatrist's diagnosis has to pass a panel of NFL-selected specialists.)

My point was more so that there are exemptions which means 1 player would be labeled a cheater while another will not with relatively little in the way of distinguishing between the two.

It doesn't really matter if we agree with it or not. The substance is banned from the NFL (with few exceptions) and the Seahawks are habitual and repeated offenders.

One guy on Adderall really isn't going to effect much. An entire defense on Adderall is going to be a significant advantage. I am not saying this is the case, but if it were, the accumulative effect would indeed be tangible and would shift the balance significantly.

I just wonder if the NFL is going to allow players who live in/visit Colorado to test positive for marijuana now...

perhaps we disagree on what "evidence" is -- as I noted, you could take the wrong OTC supplement and be suspended - you have zero idea what the suspensions are for

If they were for Weed which is not A PED, they would be forced into the leagues substance abuse program. Not only that the suspensions are different for being caught using PED's vs Illegal Drugs like Weed.

What did I ignore?? You don't just fail a test and automatically get suspended. That's not how it works.

These failed drug test were NOT for smoking weed.

WEED does not fall under the league guidelines as a PED. It falls under the substance abuse policy. Two completely different results garnering to completely sets of stipulations regarding fines and suspensions.

The bottom line is The TWO teams that were in the Super Bowl were #1 and # 2 in the league for having players on their team being suspended for the use of PED's.

PED can be anything from the wrong supplement to straight up steroids. There are tons of PED suspensions because guys don't realize they are taking a banned substance as many commercially available nutritional supplements are covered under the policy.
