Some things bother me. Some don't. I am religious. Nothing is more offensive to me language wise than someone using words that mock my beliefs.

I don't like the f-word constantly used.

I don't believe that I have ever uttered an expletive while watching a football game...

"Gosh, Mr. Referee, that call seems highly questionable to me"... that should suffice when the zebras are screwin' the Boys big time...

I wish we could cuss in here more.

That is one thing I love about BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1.com. You can pretty much say whatever is on your mind and be as vulgar as you please. At the same time, it isn't totally out of control either, well most of the time.

I also like the fact that they can post women in bikinis and thongs and such and not get in trouble.

This forum is almost G-rated....which I find quite odd for a sports forum.

I love it here, don't get me wrong......just find it hard sometimes to express myself in a not so crass or vulgar matter at times. I often have to pause and think of a way to say things that won't get the mods all over my butt.

I've always thought that a curse word is only used by those who are not intelligent to get their point across otherwise... /ducks

Is it football season yet??

So Bear, what are your thoughts on the Horns?

Personally, I see the offense being stellar. Colt is a stud. If Shipley is healthy, he will have a big year. Malcolm Williams will be the home run hitter. I also look for Kirkendoll, Collins, Buckner, and even Chiles to show some good things at the WR position.

Other than Irby, I dont know the TEs at all. I hope he is healthy and ready to go.

I like our RB stable of McGee, Whittaker, Johnson, Whaley, and even Newton. I think we should be able to actually run the ball this season with someone other than Colt McCoy.

With Allen, Ulatoski, and Hall anchoring the OL, I am not too worried. However, we cannot afford injuries like we had last year with Ulatoski. He is too good and too valuable to be missing games.

I have questions about our DL. losing Orakpo and Miller is huge. This group worries me the most.

I like our LB corp. If Kindle can keep his head on straight off the field, he should be an absolute beast on the field.

I think our secondary should be pretty good. I am a bit disappointed that they moved DJ Monroe from CB to WR. In the Army All-American Game he and Brewster were doing quite well in the secondary.

that is what parents say to get their kids not to cuss. sometimes the best way to express yourself is to throw out a 4 letter bomb. btw, is there a more versatile word than the F word? if so, please enlighten me, cause i do not believe that there is.

Just type what you want, the language filter will **** them out, most people will know what you are saying.

Frankly, people who get uptight about cussing bother me more than cussing itself. I don't do it around kids etc, but the words only have a negative implication because people want them to. They're just words.

It depends on the situation and who is around. I don't think it is appropriate in front of kids I also think if there are people around you that are offended the polite thing to do is tone it down.

I disagree. It is about respect. I don't fart in front of people, I don't belch in their ear so they can hear it, I don't talk in a movie so people can hear,
I don't pick my nose, scratch my butt, clip my toenails, talk loud on my cellphone, or do other things in front of people because it is just not respectful. For teens or young people to stand around (you don't see adults doing it) cussing loudly for everyone to hear is about as disrespectful as you can get.

Some things change from generation to generation and apparently having respect for others has dropped off the map.

Step down from the soap box and realize you missed the entire point of what I said.

To elaborate further, the gist was that profanity is only profanity because someone decided to classify it as such at some point in time. Just because I disagree with that sentiment doesn't mean I walk around in public places cursing people out. I just don't agree that any word should hold so much power that it's 'forbidden' to be uttered.

Lastly, if you've never seen adults standing around cussing in public where others could easily hear it, you've lived a very sheltered life.

I have told this to a few on here before.

When the game is on and the cowboys are playing bad or make a mistake (which is a common thing  )...the living room sounds like a one man tourettes convention and that is not to belittle that condition but just saying the truth.

I have a partictular phrase or couple of words that seems to be the most common and when I yell it out, both my dogs go running for cover and will peek around the couch a little later to make sure they are not in trouble.:laugh2:

Well...At least I learned my lesson and only throw the remote down on the couch cushion and with less force...so I am proud of that.:laugh2:

An occasional curse word, depending on the situation, can be very effective to get one's point across.

Now, not to step on toes, but those folks who seem to utter a curse word with every sentence just appear ignorant to me. It like someone sending out a memo or an official e-mail full of misspellings and grammatical errors.
