People who cuss

I have told this to a few on here before.

When the game is on and the cowboys are playing bad or make a mistake (which is a common thing  )...the living room sounds like a one man tourettes convention and that is not to belittle that condition but just saying the truth.

I have a partictular phrase or couple of words that seems to be the most common and when I yell it out, both my dogs go running for cover and will peek around the couch a little later to make sure they are not in trouble.:laugh2:

Well...At least I learned my lesson and only throw the remote down on the couch cushion and with less force...so I am proud of that.:laugh2:

That made me LOL. :laugh2:

I have no qualms whatsoever about asking someone not to cuss around me, my wife, my Mom, or my kids.

I rarely cuss in public because I find it uncomfortable when other people do. However when I'm in private or under pressure I cuss like a sailor.

I've seen people bring their young children to a sports bar to watch the games and always wonder why. You have to know that there will be a boatload of random, loud cursing going on.

I'd never bring our daughter to the bar to watch a game for that reason.

Angus used to run for cover when I was watching a game. :laugh2:

What the **** are you babbling about?
:laugh2:

Everything in excess is offensive.

I don't mind it in the right place, (a bar or some place like that) but I want to slap the back of the head of these younger gen people who walk around cussing incessantly as loud as they can just to make a spectacle of themselves.

i try not to swear in front of children and my mum is never shy of pulling me up if i swear in front of her but other than that i probably swear too much. my dad is used to it as i go to the football with him so he's heard me at my most offensive. if the ref gives something against celtic i feel is wrong i'm not adverse to turning the air blue.

Does it bother you? Do you not care? Or does it just depend on the situation?

Depends on the circumstance and what words are used. That goes for both hearing it and saying it.

Reminds of where I work believe it or not.
I work in an office, a big corporate office and I hear from around the wall some loud mouthed brat rattling off a bunch of f-bombs and what not; a complaint filled tirade. All I can think is how this spoiled brat should be happy to go straight from college to a good job in one easy step, vs having to shoe horn oneself into a career, instead of shouting obscenities through out an office.

I do a lot when I'm alone. With others around it just depends on who it is. I will never understand those who have a problem with it. It's just words. Having a problem with the context I get, with the words themselves just seems asinine and silly. But I try to respect whatever crazy things people have in their heads anyway, cause I'm nice like that.

Children know more "bad" words than we do, this theory that we have to protect them is silly.

You're so inverted it's not funny.

I just don't believe that we have to protect our children from words, they hear them anyway.

I especially hate comments re "family values" because they inevitably mean one father, one wife, and usually father at work, wife at home with children. The term family values has been perverted to mean just a nuclear family and in today's society we have to value and cherish many other kinds of families.

Yeah, they are also too stupid to know when it might not be okay to use them unless they are taught. No one is born with tact, some adults never even developed it.

To be fair, tact, and etiquette for that matter, are highly overrated.
