Fans get stupid sometimes and try to ride a high horse, until something happens to them. Browns family has stood by Brent through this and even asked charges be dropped. These kinds of people who pass judgement on people that i have seen in this thread are some worst kinds of people in life. Miserable people who dont know how to read something and have a reaction and let it go. It has nothing to do with you.

And for Lee I'm just in awe of how much of a leader he's grown to be. From his rookie yr, where he did a interview where he said this team needed leaders but he wasnt in posistion to do that because he was a rookie. To now being a Leader on and off the field. Love the guy.

Yes..2

You know..

..if you can compartmentalize the player from the murderer..

..it just tips the scales heavy negative..

You may want to consider lightening up some. He's not being charged with murder so he can't legally be a murderer. All things are not black and white. They have nuisances.

I neither excused nor passed judgement with my post. If you infered from it, then that is completely your issue.

Perhaps you should just stop using your cell phone while driving.

for society to exist we have to have rules and many times have to pass judgement

there are rights and wrongs from a moral standpoint, as things go, this one is not that hard.... a person who has repeatedly driven drunk and obviously learned nothing from it, finally killed someone

closing ones eyes to the facts is easy when events dont affect you directly but is a cop out

Its not ordinary peoples place to pass judgement. Thats why we have laws and judges. Nobody has to close their eyes, but people can restrain themselves. Teach ur kids wrong from right. Because no judgement you have is going to change a life that isnt going to live right.

i will (and am) teach my kids that driving under the influence is wrong and there is NO GREY AREA there

personal responsibility is getting lost amidst all the excuse making about "not passing judgement"

people in this very thread blamed the victim, already....... crazy but true

people like you will always find excuses

even jeffrey dahmer got fan mail so i should not be surprised

and what kind of person are you that passes judgement on 'these kind of people' that you have no knowledge of?

the lowest of the low

wait until someone you love is seriously affected for life by a drunk
then revisit this thread in your head and hang your head in shame

My sister was killed by one. And my family was almost ripped apart by cousins who had the same kinds of ingorant actions like most of the thoughts in thread. And the ignorant thing about is she never spoke to them and didnt particularly like them because of how they were and vice versa but they wanted to cause drama for what? Its just like this thread. Theres no reason for it.

What's there to doubt? He blew a high BAC. End of discussion.

No discussion on the absolute definition of the word. But there is presenting evidence to a jury who has the fate of another human being on their hands. So it plays to mercy and compassion.

another person that does not get it

i have 2 words for you "personal responsibility" go look it up

when you are driving drunk and kill yourself i could care less because you deserved it, the issue is that you are endangering others and have no control
brent has clearly shown by his repeat offenses that he just does not get it, like many on this board who want to just stay above the bottom of any code of morality, you (like other bottom feeders in this thread) want to find a way to excuse it because you identify with it

brent needs real jail time not some slap on the wrist IMO

if many do it, that is no excuse, in fact that is all the more reason to punish it harshly to send the correct message

by your post it sounds like you were not just dumber when you were younger, you have unfortunately learned little other than get better at making excuses and there is still a lot of growing up that needs to be done

Name-calling is one of the most common tactics people use to hurt others or disparage them. It often occurs when someone has an emotional argument to make with little or no supporting logical argument.

The emotional mind can often have a “mind of its own” or “emotional intelligence” which operates independently of the logical mind, and name-calling is a product of this emotional mind, an explosion of feeling in the form of barbed words.

so you have the "facts" of the case and will argue them on a message board?

a person drove drunk and killed someone
sounds a lot like fact and not an emotional argument

sounds to me like some are trying to muddy the waters by blaming the victim
irresponsible and reprehensible but not necessarily unexpected from a lawyer

addressing name calling was my post [bottom feeders] I didn't say another thing about the victim

Any further name calling, other personal attacks, or guideline violations will have consequences and/or this thread will be closed. Keep it civil. I understand this is an emotion provoking topic but restrain yourselves.
