They were giving him snaps there to get Peters some work, and also practice Tyler at Guard in anticipation of Tyron coming back. If Tyron can come back and be the actual Tyron, for just a playoff run and move Tyler inside…..lookout folks. This thing is going to be tough to defend. Steele and Martin are dominating the right side.

Biadasz is looking good too. Not a single weak player, and they're all better in run blocking.
If Tyron comes back, I want to see a lot of jumbo packages. Play to our strengths.

it was when the game was more or less over, they wanted to rest most of the starters and give the backups some time together. No way Peters is starting with his age and shape. It was just a tuneup to get some real-time playing in a game situation. Don't overthink this.

Oh for sure.

But it’s getting to that time where Tyron should be returning in a few weeks. They said mid-late December. I expect him back by the Jaguars or Eagles game.

Progress stopper. Why can’t peters play left guard. It looks like it’s going to happen so be it

Tyron I still think aint playing in 2022. Thats just a Jerry wet dream. He may be on the 53 and suited up soon, but I think he will be a depth guy, not a starter. Emergency only. I wouldn't risk the mans career anymore than needed.

as far as Jason Peters, 0 way I would start him full time at Left Tackle. Why? If anything I would start him at LG full time. He is way better than McGovern. I still dunno why we haven't done this.

Right, lets wear out a 40 year old man by starting him full time at LT BEFORE the playoffs. Makes sense to me. Yeah, lets risk our depth.

Anyone get a chance to really look into his 20 or so snaps from yesterday? At worse, we have real depth at LT.

I'm thinking it might be a good idea to let the offensive staff decide what to do with Jason Peters, moving forward. They're present with the o-line and Peters to see how many reps might be best to allocate to him. Whatever seems appropriate to them should benefit the team, as a whole. The return of Tyron Smith should provide yet another fine decision to be forthcoming. Whatever appears best should allow some excellent options to choose from.
