Pettiti not the answer at RT...

I believe he has had a heck of a year for a rookie considering the ends he has matched up with so far. However, he did look pretty bad against the seahawks...Give him some more time before you say he is not the answer though.

Let's be honest....Pettitti has become a favorite on the site....but let's not forget what Mike Mayock said about Pettiti when we drafted him....."He's horrible" and we need to address the position in the draft. Chalk Parcell's soft spot for this kid along with his conservative play a negative that we in Cowboy Nation need to accept....not that it's right.....but it is what it is!

let me set the record straight.

i don't wear rose colored glasses nor do i take offense to negative posting. i know rob has worked extremely hard for this opportunity and will work even harder to improve his play. rob played poorly yesterday and those saying so are correct. however, he played pretty well the previous two weeks. i'm not worried about rob because he has already done more this year than i thought he would. i'm not bothered by those who say he is not the answer, i'm only concerned if parcells says he is not the answer at rt.

so please feel free to post whatever you like, but just remember rob is busting his butt to play the best he can. if that turns out to be sub par than i expect the team to make an adjustment which will hurt far worse than anything said here.

I seriously wanted to kick him in the balls after the game, right after Bledsoe, Cortez, Parcells and Zimmer... :laugh2:

Ummmm... part of the reason for this so-called "Conservative" playcalling is BECAUSE of Rob Petitti. Can't (and shouldn't) go crazy with the passing if the RT isn't protecting his QB.

He had an awful day, giving up two sacks on a DE who isnt as good as the last two guys he has faced. Fisher isnt bad but he isnt elite either. OT is a major need and a liability this offseason. Screw FS, Davis and Pile seem to have it under control now. IMO we will rebuild the Oline like we did the Dline this offseason. It's still amazing to me that this season has gone to **** without Flozell. Tucker had a better game than Pettiti and he was a backup to open the season.

Petitti is still a young player before writing him off and getting another tackle allow him some time to gain experiance. Guys like Mark Tuinei did not become pro bowlers over night
