He has kept Garrett from leaving, .. either Jerry just didn't recognize Peyton's talent or didn't want him to be the head coach.

Not that Payton isn't a good head coach, but I think alot of the rue-ers aren't watching the Saints on a regular basis. Payton consistently makes crazy coaching calls like he did last night, calling three timeouts in the first quarter (ultimately pointless since SF converted anyway) to have the wind on a punt - leaving them with no ability to challenge for much of the second quarter. He is the king of failed reverses in the red zone. The grass isn't always that green, once you get a good look at it.

All that matters is the Superbowl trophy and the rings....

He also turned the ball over alot more then because of that, and caught a ton of heat for it.

I think he can pick and choose when to do it now.

I like Romo in the pocket but out of the pocket he is an entire different monster and thats when he seperates himself from about 29 other QB's in the league.

Watching these guys the last 2 nights shows what great QBs do to keep there team in every game.

Romo has a ways to go. He is good not great.

I love how people talk about Romo as if he's 24.

The guy is 30. He is great. Just appreciate our 4500 yard passer. He's not too shabby.

He is really good but he has cut back on some of the things that made him really great because of a few bad decisions on his part.

I want to see more of the instinctive playmaker mentality from him that makes him great.

Seriously?

You are trying to say that a coach that took the laughing stock of the NFL and turned them into Super Bowl champs would not be better than Wade Philips if we had kept him here in Dallas ?

OK.

OK.

He also had 7-9 and 8-8 seasons with the Saints too.

I have a feeling, you would have been screaming for Payton's head after he called for a reverse, with the lead, running out the clock, and then watched his WR fumble the ball away...

which of course caused the Saints to lose.

Telling us how (previous superbowl winning coach) would've been a better choice!

Right now Brees and P Manning are clearly the best QBs in the NFL. Next comes Brady and Rodgers and Rivers. Then Romo and the rest.

What has Rivers ever done that Romo hasn't? Brady, Brees, and Manning are the top but nobody else has proven anything.

Try reading ??

I guess when I read all of the negative things you had to say about Peyton, and then I read ... "The grass isn't always that green, once you get a good look at it."

I figured that meant you felt Peyton wasn't as good as WP.

Tell me what I should have read there.
So were you agreeing?
