We could still easily be 2-0 and just as easily be 0-2.

2 players back in week 5 hopefully will help!

Three ways to describe PPF rankings.

1) I love them when they confirm my biases.
2) I hate them when they go against my biases.
3) The stats they accumulate themselves are interesting. Their analysis of said stats are meaningless.

I'm a 3.

They're not perfect, but they're the only service of the kind right now. I think the information is valuable, personally, and generally find myself agreeing with their player grades.

Terrell McClain has shown up with some big plays but I guess he just is not being consistent.

I think that's the case with a number of our DL. Guys are making some plays, but on average, get no push. One sack every couple games sounds productive (Mayowa/Crawford), but not when that's the only impact, measured against 80 snaps.

And there are people on this forum that have thoughts of Super Bowl? Trust me....I want this team to win the Super Bowl every year. But so does every other team/fanbase when it comes to their team. I am a die hard Cowboy fan...and I was embarrassed yesterday because too often I found myself asking my buddies "who is # so an so"? I will watch every week...cheering these guys on. But it is scary how one of the NFLs marquee teams...find themselves in this state...when it comes to the DL. And you can almost say the same about LBer as well. The personnel of this front 7 is nightmarish.

Thanks coop!
Ouch.. But it goes along with eye test. We all see that our Dline sucks why is it a surprise when PFF grades them poorly. Even the announcers in last nights game where commenting on the poor talent on the Dline. They felt bad for Rob.

Truth. Stats an real game expertise are both important, but statisticians arent football experts and football experts arent statisticians.

PFF IMO is a good starting point for a person to go back and look at something themselves. They try to provide that for you and often it's off base

Sadly, you're right. And while Lawrence will help, as the only guy worth double teaming, he's not going to have the raw production he did last year. The unit is just awful. This shouldn't have happened.

They had Mayowa as "average" for the Giants game. What the HELL were they watching? Man have they declined greatly.

FO used to produce some really good stats. Nothing to PFFs scale though.

There were really good for WR/CB analysis

I got no problem with the DT's and im picky when it comes to this team if you haven't noticed.

I wish we had a Linval Joseph type but we don't so it's ok.

DE needs upgrading and im hoping Gregory and Lawrence can save the defense.

He did get a sack in just 45 snaps. Even if that's all he did, I think average is fair enough.

When did he get the sack? Cousins was sacked twice in the Washington game, both came from Crawford's. When did Mayowa get the sack? I'm seeing this on NFL.com right now, this has to be a mistake or I completely missed it.

EDIT: My bad, I now see i said Giants.
