An absolutely putrid job by the front office this offseason on the defense.

If the Giants had done this to address their D problems - signed a Raiders cast off, moved a Chiefs cast off to DE, and used a 4th round pick on a DE - the same people preaching patience and hope for this DL would have been killing the Giants for their moves.

I wish the media would turn up the heat on Jones and demand their logic behind such a bizarre offseason.
LOL. I see you are back to licking from the teet of the Jones family again. Everything they do is great, great, great!

Refute the point. Do you think the front office did a great job building a solid defensive front?

I have absolutely no doubt if the Giants did what we did, you'd be one of the ones laughing at their incompetence. But we do it? Man, that's smart roster construction right there.
all I got to see is no celebration in a win but boy see a negative post and your on it.
Your a pathetic troll your pretty good at it but that's what you are. whose your real team

Oh now here comes the waving monkey, "I am a better fan than you" spiel.

I look at the bigger picture. It was nice to get a win. But I don't just want a win over the Commanders. I want to see that the team is a legit contender in this league. We aren't.

We could have been, even with Prescott, if the front office had done a better job building a competent defense, but instead, they half-assed it on the defensive line looking for bargains.

And the result shouldn't be surprising to anyone. We have a mediocre to bad defense. If that hurts your feelings, I apologize. I didn't realize I was dealing with a overly sensitive fan who cries when someone isn't talking about how great the Cowboys are.

Smart people also put down the blue and silver glasses occasionally and take a look around at what this team really has.

And what they have is a very suspect DL, even with Lawrence coming back.

Yeah, I'm a blind homer. About the least accurate thing anyone could claim.

With Lawrence, I see a DL that has one very good, young end and four pretty good DT. I also see a D that has twice now put us in position to win.

Of course, people care more about PFF grades than facts like that.

Problem isn't that draft picks aren't being used...it's that they don't know how to use them.

1st rounders: Claiborne, Jones
2nd rounders: Lee, Bruce Carter, DLaw, Gregory, Smith
3rd rounders: Crawford, Collins, Wilcox

that's 10 picks in the first 3 rounds which around draft time, everyone says the 1st three rounds is where you get starters. We've used enough picks to have a solid defense....if only we knew how to pick.

And what team hits on all their 1st-3rd round picks?

And don't forget....we gave up a 2nd rounder to draft Claiborne....and we gave up a 2nd rounder to draft Lawrence

You didn't offer up any facts. You offered up opinions. "Four pretty good DTs" isn't a fact. That's an opinion.

I actually, at one point, thought like you about DT. That they would be more than solid. But they've been less than good the first two games other than McClain. Commanders averaged nearly 5 yards per carry against that DL. Thankfully the Skins were dumb enough to only run it 17 times against us. They were continually gashed up the middle. The Giants also ran for 4.7 yards per carry and when they were trying to run out the clock, we couldn't stop them from running for big chunks.

Oh and one good DE isn't going to cut it either.

The front office failed in the defensive front seven this offseason.

We moved up in the 2nd round to pick Lawrence. The 2nd round picks were a wash. The only thing we lost was a 3rd rounder, right?

I'd still make that trade.
