PFF: Dallas Cowboys primed for a Super Bowl run?

The Dallas Cowboys lead the NFL with five players making the PFF 50, one more than any other team. While the Cowboys don’t have a player come up until No. 17 in the list (Travis Frederick), they do have 10 percent of the 50 best players in the game heading into the 2017 season, and that doesn’t count their quarterback, Dak Prescott, who enjoyed a historic rookie season and could become something special in 2017.

Dallas has built through the draft well in recent seasons, and it has begun to bear fruit. They may have been one and done in the playoffs this past year, but it took some Aaron Rodgers magic and one of the greatest games in NFL playoff history for it to happen after an epic comeback by Dallas in the fourth quarter.

No Super Bowl this year....hopefully next year.

Man it would be awesome if the cowboys made it to the Super Bowl this year, I just believe our Defense needs a little more work.
Have faith, brudda! I know it's hard, getting our hopes up having been let down so much in the past, but this is shaping up nice and a bit different than the last two decades.

I think the Jones' are starting to realize that winning will bring them more profit than marketing. A couple decades late, but better late than never :)

I think we have as good a shot at rep'ing the NFC as any team in our conference. Tough schedule be damned!

What is that old Rick Flair quote? ;)

Who knows. Catch lightening in a bottle and the defense get some turnovers...ya never know.

The Giants won two Super Bowls with nowhere near the best team in the league in 2007 and 2011.

Having a better prepped and coached team going into the playoffs helps too. Those Giants teams ended their seasons on high notes and played their best football in the postseason.

Wow, another list with high praise for Bosa, ranking him #13 in the league only 12 games into his career. At least we can remind ourselves he was off the board when we picked...

Marinelli has shown that he can put together a competitive group with average at best talent, finishing 15th, 16th, and 5th in points allowed in 2014, 2015, and 2016, even without the team’s usual offensive firepower in 2015. There is every reason to believe that this group should at least be on the level of those other groups, but with a much higher ceiling. It just might take a little extra time for them to reach it.

I think 2-3 of these top pass rushers were free agents this off season. I wouldn't have minded having a top 20 pass rusher, I would have been ecstatic having two. Hmmmmm

Be interesting to see how miller looks without ware
