Just imagine if instead of wasting him at Safety for the past few years, he was building his skill-set as a CB. We may have squashed his HOF potential.... but if this play is any indication, he'll overcome the lost years. Just wow.

I called it before training camp. I picked Jones as my "breakout" player and most like 1st time Pro Bowl or All-Pro type player.

I had studied Richard Sherman and the Kris Richard scheme. I concluded that Jones is the prototype CB in the KR scheme.

Look on the bright side. It could have taken them 8 years instead of 4.
Still, I mean, come on.... you were sitting on HOF-level talent at CB. He is smoking the rest of the CBs in the league right now, like it isn't even close. It is Jerry Rice vs Roy Williams level. Just look at the # of snaps played. Nearly 75% higher than anyone in the rest of the top 10.

Plenty of games left, that could change, but as of now, simply unreal.

So the giants also screwed up by not using prince amukamara right it looks like.
Yes, but with Jones at 384 snaps played, and Prince at 203, it is a completely different level... Byron is winning on every single down.

Prince also has Callahan and safeties performing at a top 10 level... Jones is doing this on his own, our safeties are ranked at #76 and #77 (Heath, Woods), our second highest rank CB is Anthony Brown at #50, Chido is in the 90's.

It is unreal.

We also screwed up by not picking Desmond King when he slid in the draft.
But ya crazy that Prince is that high, the NYG considered him near bust.
Of course Mo is on their too and playing well so there’s that. Mo is from the same regime that played Jones at S too so wonder if the story ends differently if KR was here with Mo.

Are you seriously claiming Byron Jones is a “HOF-level talent at CB?”

I swear our fanbase has gone absolutely nuts after this past win.

No, but you're good at taking sound bites.. Do you do marketing?

I said he is performing at that level, as of what we have seen this season, I am not commenting or alluding to performance before or after the selected period of games under observation. I based my conclusion based on the stats provided by Pro Football Focus.

Is the interrogation over?

How did he get good, all of a sudden? How did Rod Marinelli get better than Kiffin?
