He will probably be gone, they will try to jump start the QB by any means necessary.

Odds are it's not going to work, there are very few cases in NFL history where a team switched a coach and a struggling QB suddenly became a competent passer. Coaches make easy scapegoats.

This tells you all you need to know about changing coaches. Don't get your hopes up that we are magically going to scheme ourselves to victory.

Goff looks like a totally different player under McVay than Fisher. Alex Smith looked much better after Singletary left. Even Case Keenum looked a whole lot different joining Minnesota, after leaving the Rams. It's definitely not a given, but sometimes it just takes pairing the right coaching and players together. The problem for us is the person picking the coaches and players to pair together.

What's it going to be then, eh?

The problem is that the coach either needs to be a QB whisperer or bring in someone who is.

Parcells was bigger than Jerry, or at least about as big as you can get in the NFL. HIs teams performed like Garrett’s do.
His teams had zero talent and he took one of them to the playoffs. Testeverde, Quincy Carter and Drew Henson and even Henson was pushed on the field by yes, Jerry.

Maybe Jack del Rio as Head Coach and Callahan as OC

I can live with this ......with Callahan keeping Columbo, the OL and running game should be in great shape.
Not sure if you know this but it was Del Rio who Jerry called for info on Amari Cooper.

Like I said, the problem is the person making those decisions. Jerry is more likely to hire someone he's comfortable with and not someone best suited for the job.

Jones has interviewed coaches like Ron Rivera but passed on them. I would laugh just watching a Jerry Jones interview.

Having that top 10 pick sure will make this an attractive landing spot for a new coach...

I actually found a list of Jerry's top questions when interviewing for a new coach.

1. Is it an issue to have the rest of your staff picked for you by the Owner?
2. Would you have any issues with the Owner dictating who the starters will be?
3. Are you willing to state publicly that the Owner deserves most if not all the credit for the SuperBowl victories during the 90's
4. Do you have a dependable car and be willing to drive the Owner's Wife to her weekly Beauty Salon appointment?
5. Would you be willing to name the Owner's grandson a starter after he gets picked in the Draft?

I also found a list of Stephen Jones interview questions, but oddly enough, it only had one question.

1. Would you be willing to submit an affidavit or testify in a mental competency hearing against the current Owner if asked to do so?

For the first time, I'm starting to believe he likely won't survive a losing season. The criticism is reaching an epic level nationally that could very well force Jerry's hand.

Who’s on the hot seat, halfway through the season?

Week Nine has ended, which means that all teams have played at least eight games. One of those teams already has fired its coach. History says at least several more will do the same.

So who’s in trouble with eight weeks left in the season?

In no particular order, here’s a list of the guys who currently could be learning in less than eight weeks that their services no longer will be needed.

Jason Garrett, Cowboys: There’s a growing belief in league circles that, if the Cowboys don’t make it to the playoffs, Garrett will be gone. The real question is whether owner Jerry Jones would hire an A-list, type-A replacement or another B-level coach who will gladly let Jones be the actual or perceived puppeteer

They'll fire JG and move up the assistant to HC (whomever that is). No A-List coach is going to want to come here and work under JJ and his son. Who would want to come to a place where the owner and son runs the show the way that they do?
The only way we would get a A-list coach is if there are some position changes, JJ needs to remove himself as President and leave operations to someone else. His son SJ needs to move into the president role and hire an outsider to be GM.
There needs to be 5 changes to this org.

1. Fire JG
2. Fire SL
3. Hire an actual GM
4. Remove JJ from football operations decision making, he needs to retire, sit back and be a fan for a while.

Until these things happen we will be a 8-8 team and I'll stop watching if nothing changes!

One thing is for sure, he looked like total crap on the sidelines after the loss. That and his voice was cracking at his post game press conference. Yes, I do think he's starting to feel pressure. Probably not any real pressure from Lizard face though.

That’s not true though. But whatever.

Does a new HC get to pick his own staff? Will he have authority to fire linehan too and bring in a different playcaller? Can Dak learn a new system? Will they invest more than a late 4th round pick on another QB, maybe one who can throw a football?
