Hard to believe anything the press has been saying about the situation since they have flip flopped almost twice a day since FA started. One moment they say 'expect Romo to be released', the next they will say 'expect Romo to be traded.'
I expect and demand that Jerry and Co. wait this out for as long as they feasibly can do so. It's not a seller's market at this moment. Wait until it starts to develop into one. If it never happens, then you did all you could do and cut bait.
I'm sure Texans fans may be wondering why they traded Osweiler away and didn't secure Romo in a trade when they had the chance. And I'm sure Broncos fans don't think Trevor Siemien is right for the job and that Paxton Lynch is not ready yet when they still have a top notch defense that won the Super Bowl 2 years ago.
All of that adds up and when it comes to nut-cutting time....they'll have a lot of explaining to do to their fanbase.

i'm a cowboys fan, not a insert player's name here fan, and Romo will be one of my favorite cowboys ever.
the organization would be beyond foolish not to secure SOMETHING for their all-time leader in yards, TDs, and comp %
So what will be considered a "development" over the next six weeks until the draft?
I think theyd both like for Dallas to get something in return, but most around the league dont see it happening. As opposed to Jerry going to the media and saying yep, we're at war.
I've got ocean front property in Nebraska to sell you.

Yeaaaah buddy. Spring break on SPI. I feel old, what the hell, doesn't hurt to look. LolSalud!

I think they even say as much in this article.
Too high risk. Teams may want him as a FA, so they can tear up the 3 years 54 mil and do an incentive based deal.
This is a great opportunity to separate the real Cowboys fans from the fake ones.
Love the team. Hate Romo.
Sure doesnt!Yeaaaah buddy. Spring break on SPI. I feel old, what the hell, doesn't hurt to look. Lol
Go Cowboys!
I think there's one other option, Risen.I'm not interested in what most around the league sees happening. What kind of submissive attitude is that? He's under contract. The Cowboys control this. Trade, backup or retire. No other option.
He's been boxing since he was 4 years old....so maybe not.I wish I could throw hands with Romo right now.
You can't just hold on to him if you can't work out a trade. With limited suitors and Romo's history...he's not going to have teams jumping up and down for him. Holding onto him against his will with no intention on keeping himsets an example of how we treat players to the league and the locker room.
I hope we get something. I don't think we know the whole side of the story. For all we know, Romo is the ultimate team guy and wants Dallas to get something in return.
they can go after cutler, they know it wont get them anything.Jerry shouldn't blink just yet. If/when the Texans bring Cutler in for a visit.......then react. By not having any starting QB's go to Houston, that tells me they want Romo. Same can be said of Denver but less so.
