I cut him and bring in a vet.

Josh Freeman or Shaun Hill. Neither are ideal, but offer more than Moore.

Cowboys growing concerned about Kellen Moore as No. 2 quarterback

The Dallas Cowboys are finally realizing that which many have known for months: Kellen Moore may not be the ideal understudy to Dak Prescott at quarterback.

Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports, citing an unnamed source, that Moore “will be the subject of conversation at personnel meetings this week” after another subpar preseason performance.

“I’m just glad to see Rush taking advantage of his opportunities out there,” owner JerrJones said, via Hill. “Wouldn’t want to get ahead of ourselves in any way here. And the other thing is that we still have a lot of confidence in [Moore], his ability to be able to get in there when we would call on him with the personnel around him and get the ball in the right places. Make no mistake about it, that Rush, it just gets slow when he gets out there. That’s a compliment.”

Reality--- Cooper Rush has the "it" factor...he has come along much faster than Romo did as a free agent in new system..and one cannot play much better than he has played this preseason....there is no way he makes it past waivers if we waive him ( cut him )...so if we are not going to cut Moore than we must choose to have 3 Qb's on 53....the thing is i am beginning to truly 'hate Kellen Moore"...we have seen time and time again his ceiling....all things must go right for him to be effective...if things break down he breaks down...not so for Cooper Rush....he has 4 TD passes in a little over 3 quarters of play and no interceptions..and playing with the same or worse players than Kellen Moore..Cooper brings a spark to the team and Moore brings a heavy cloud over the team....i will be so upset if we keep Moore and cut Rush...please dallas cowboys continue to shoot yourselves in the foot like recent times past....since bringing in Will Mcclay and a different mindset we seem to be doing better....cut Moore or choose 3 Qb for 53

You can bet teams have scouted Rush and are already ready to pounce on him the minute he is cut. Lets hope the FO has the cajones to keep him over Moore if it comes down to that. Rush is perfect for this offense and I agree he has taken it like a duckling to water. If not, we will regret losing him for the next 15 years.

I still feel like they'll give Moore the nod. Garrett sees too much of himself in Moore.
Red Ball was also the deciding vote on keeping Brad Johnson as the backup. So his track record on backup QBs is not very good.
