No way the Cowboys go with Rush as their backup....not yet.

Moore has played against the opponent's starters and rotation players, often without his own starters on the line and at receiver. Rush has been playing vs. scrubs who won't even make their rosters. Two preseason games remaining; they need to flip the script at least once to see Rush vs. real NFL competition and Moore vs. the scrubs.

What Rush is doing is making the Cowboys want to carry 3 QBs. It's easy to say, keep Rush as the backup because if Dak is lost to injury the season is over anyway, but that's the extreme situation. What if Dak goes out in the second half of a tight game with a concussion or ankle...maybe then the veteran with a noodle arm is still your best bet to make all the right decisions and put the ball in the hands of playmakers, read the blitzes, etc.

Unless Rush is another Dak as a rookie, we need a veteran backup, either Moore or a final cut addition. You just don't want to throw a rookie out there in tight divisional games when you need a cool head with experience to make decisions that help avoid "losing" the game. Unless he regresses, I think Rush makes the 53 as an inactive on game day.

Ive honestly never seen a FO worse at analyzing QB's and miraculously finding great QB's as FA's or later in the draft. Makes no sense really. Seems like luck, but then how can you call it luck?

How can you call it luck? Moore breaking his leg last year. That's how. Had he not got injured, this coaching staff would have started Moore over Dak and we wouldn't have gotten to see how good Dak was last year.

If either see meaningful game time we most likely lose. Take the guy with upside

It's ridiculous to me that this is even up for debate.

I guess if Garrett keeps Moore on it will just prove to be a microcosm of Garrett's career here in Dallas. The man just can't make the right calls even if it's obvious.

We ain't gonna win with kellen Moore out there. Everybody knows it except the ones that should know it.
