If the other team isn't playing their starters, then what's the point? You're just giving some scrub an opportunity to make a name for himself by taking out one of our starters.
A preseason game isn't...QUITE "full speed" regular season.But all you're doing is starting the full speed sooner, this increasing the odds of an injury, in games that don't even count.
I honestly don't care one way or the other. I just don't see why some are so excited about it. But if preseason isn't full speed, it's very close, and as such, the risk is definitely greater to any player on the field than not on it.A preseason game isn't...QUITE "full speed" regular season.
Not sure what you don't get about this. It' s a SLOW ramp up. PS an in-between step.
CeeDee is proof you can get injured doing anything, anytime. Why not give players a smaller, more controlled situation?
I am also not super adamant about it either. I understand both sides. Both have merit...it's not a difficult thing.
