Why do people keep saying the Cowboys are "Married to Dak for 2016"? No, they aren't. They aren't going to sit him after 1 or 2 bad games, but if he plays the same way over the next 6 quarters, we'll be saying hello to old #9 for the 2nd half of the Lions game. Dak has helped guide this team to an 11-2 record, and a win or two shy of home field advantage throughout the playoffs, which is very impressive. That being said, if he suddenly can't get the job done over 2 or 3 games, the Cowboys HAVE to go to Romo. The NFC is as weak as it's been in a long time, there isn't a team other than Seattle that scares anyone. Take them out of Seattle and they don't even scare anyone. The Boys have a real shot at making it to the SB, so why would they "ride it out" with a QB that has lost his mojo, when they have a proven veteran chomping at the bit to get back under center? You have to give it your best shot, with your best players, right now. This year, not next year. Winning in the NFL is hard, and nothing is guaranteed from one season to the next(just ask the panthers). Who knows when/if they'll get to this point again?

This. If anyone thinks Jerry is going to waste a potential #1 seed on a rookie QB who continues to struggle with a SB there for the taking, they are the ones who are nuts. Even the defense is playing better now. Dak will get the Bucs game, but if its another clunker Romo has to get a chance.

I agree that you can't bench him. Its ride or die now. But for the record, it's not one bad game. He has had a few bad games in a row now, they just won all the others in spite of QB play. And I think it is sad that they gave up a chance for this team to win a SB with their decision but I guess they figure the future is more important that the here and now.
I also think there's ego involved. after not being able to replace aikman until Sean Payton and parcells found romo they now want to be geniuses with dak.

Qb tony romo averages more points than qb dak Prescott and is better when healthy. He's done so with historically less talent and we should have him ready to make a run at a Super Bowl

Tony benefited from more turnovers in 2014 and the talent is equal. How is this team historically better than 2014? Don't say Zeke, because that guy is overrated as hell. Tony's teams averaged about 22ppg between the 2008-2013 seasons. Stop it

What do we know about the hand of a Romo that hasn't played all season and may not take his first hit very well?

This talk of plugging Romo in is humorous at best.

Only way we see what he has if he sees the field. If the coaches see that he's doing well in practice than he needs to be in consideration if Dak continues to stink it up.

The team is greater than one player and that includes Dak Prescott.

I don't see the benefit of flip/flopping QB's.

Dak got you to 11-2.

Let's see how it plays out for at least another game.

You don't see a benefit in playing the better QB?

Who wants to flip flop? Just play the better healthy player. Like Denver did last year (though Dallas has better QBs than they did).

Nope not after last night.

Prescott deserves another game as starter.

If he craters on Sunday then we can talk.
