Really suspicious that 2 deals got done as a deadline approached. Except that its not. Do you think the teams were actually worried about the bs collusion threat?

Why are you guys bringing up a completely moot point? You trying to vicariously not be worried about it for them? Seeing how the lawsuit at Apple turned out in court I would see the NFL as usual having very little room to stand on if there was indeed proof of teams sharing negotiating terms.

If you think it's unfair that players can do it and teams cannot then you are ready to hail your corporate overlords when the time comes.

Because of how they worked it. He gets a lot of money up front and helps give us cap space NOW. Also free's up money in the next few years to lock up other guys. Worked out for both parties

A very important short/long term consideration for the overall stability of the team going forward.

As you would expect with the same agent and situation...

Demaryius Thomas just signed for 5 years too.

Where ever one wishes to credit, Dez got himself a good deal. And Cowboy fans are real winners by that.

That room is looking really dated. Look at the ceiling, that's Jerry Jones office?

Focusing on the important stuff over here. Keeping it real.

That's Valley Ranch. They're building a brand new facility in Frisco.

It isn't an outrageous deal. The original offer was obviously a calculated starting point

Yeah I don't get that. It was rumored Bryant wanted Calvin Johnson money. He didn't get that. So can we say he blinked first?

Not outrageous, but perfect for Dez. A huge signing bonus, $45 million fully guaranteed, and a short term right before the cap skyrockets. He'll only be 31, so there's another deal out there for him.

This negotiations feels like a great prize fight. Both sides got off good shots, both got their bell rung a bit, but in the end it's a draw.

These deadlines always amuse me. This is not like procrastinating for your mid term assignment in undergrad. Why the last hour? So what was going on the last two months? How many numbers can be crunched? What happened in the last hour besides the obvious deadline that made both parties feel great? Lol
