PFT: Dielman, Steinbach Have Deals in Hand?

I heard that Vince called Tony early in the season and asked about running techniques......upon receiving some sound advice........Vince proceeded to use Tony's Teachings to run for the winning score in overtime against the Texans......as well as run for a first down on fourth down late in the Giants game...

As a huge Vince fan, I am so thankful that Tony Romo was there to offer a helping hand...

Thank you Tony...

Romo should really consider the switch to WR like Matt Jones.

I bet he has a 4.36 in him somewhere.

I've said it another thread, Tony should be our starter at FS... and at QB... he should probably do the kickoffs at least, too... maybe in his free time, he can help out the beer vendors...

Of course, all this added responsibility would almost certainly mean an end to his days as the holder... that would give him JUST enough time to mow Wade's grass... :D

Oh yeah, Romo's a white Randall Cunningham... those 34 carries for 102 yards (3.0 average) are bound to scare the bejesus out of the rest of the NFL... defensive coordinators everywhere are gonna be looking for players that can "spy" on Tony, just to make sure he doesn't kill them with his legs...

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

interesting spin on reality you've got, lol. I coulda sworn there was some Dallas QB sidestepping bullets and buying time this season... who was that? :D

In football parlance, a "scrambler" is a quarterback who's a threat to RUN...

You're right, Tony has some ability to sense and avoid the rush, but he's still looking to throw the ball, not to pull it down and run with it a la Vince Young or Michael Vick...

I don't guess that anyone has considered the possibility of Romo holding for the kicker ...additionally....:lmao2:

SilverBear, I have a stack of Pro Football Weeklies by my bed....that with the current sports section of the paper, and the Weekly Sporting News...:)

Haven't bought too many magazines since I discovered the wonderful world of the internet... but once upon a time, I had magazines all over the freakin' house... I can relate...

sorry Bud, you're off the mark. Scrambling includes behind the line of scrimmage. Look it up on Answers.com http://www.answers.com/topic/scramble

"Football.
To run around with the ball behind the line of scrimmage in order to avoid being tackled while searching for an open receiver.
To run forward with the ball when unable to complete an intended pass play. Used of a quarterback."

NEXT~!:D

Teams didn't try to get after the QB because they were afraid of Bill.

Marion Barber paid off opposing teams so he could have 14 rushing TD's.

Often times teams dropped 11 into coverage because our WR's are so lethal.

and the 'Boys were ranked 15th in rushing average in a league with a lot of crappy teams. Face it, a scrambling Romo and some good receivers carried the drives and put young phenom MBIII near the goal line. it's all on tape

No back is going to do much without blocking. Problem was that we were so inconsistant.

Why didn't they stop us in the red zone where it gets harder to run?

Virtually no one stopped us in the red zone.

It's all on tape.

Where did the Colt/Bears end up in your little run rankings?
