News: PFT: Jerry takes blame for entering season with Weeden as Romo’s backup

Not surprised Weeden was a Jones decision.

Idea for the future: When it comes to QB, Jones needs to park it and keep his mouth shut. The QB position is not a place for pet projects.

Well, neither is the HC position, but that one has been going on for 6 years now. Doesn't matter. Not like Jerry will fire himself. Of course, he would likely have fired anyone else not named Jones for it, but he'll never remove himself.

Cowboys owner and General Manager Jerry Jones has offered some criticism for his team’s coaching staff. But he’s also accepting some criticism himself. Specifically, after Jones said that he thought the coaches should have done a better job coaching up the team in the wake of Tony Romo’s injury, Jones acknowledged that he’s the one…http://youwillnotrackme2.net/b.gif?host=profootballtalk.nbcsports.com&blog=&post=2368203&subd=nbcprofootballtalk&ref=&feed=1

NO crap Jerrah. Too little too late. That's why you need to step AWAY. Should've got a serviceable backup 3 seasons ago.

We saw what Weeden was last year against Arizona. The fact we still rolled with him is just mind-boggling.

Well, at least we know the GM is still held accountable at Valley Ranch, as the GM has stated previously.

bring in JFF strickly as a backup.....and then still grab a young gun in the draft: may the best man win.

really dont want that circus in DFW now,he is still very immature.

Maybe Jones can fire himself as GM. Sorry what was I thinking. Lapse of judgement. Then again miracles do happen.

More blameworthy trading for an inferior Cassel. Guy is at best Weeden's equal. No rational argument can be made that he is superior to Weeden or was worth obtaining.

Weeden is way better than Cassel. In fact, Weeden has the highest QB rating on the team this season. Weeden should've been 2-1 as a starter against decent teams this year; it was the defense that let this team down against Atlanta and New Orleans. Weeden had one bad game this year, and that was against the Patriots.

News for you Jerruh, Cassell is just as bad. I would agree he's probably worse than Weeds.

Weeden was very much the least of your sins jerruh.
Let's start with every coaching decision you made outside of hiring jimmy and BP

Yes, let's blame Weeden.

In going 0-3, he QB'd us to 28 points vs. Atlanta and 20 vs. New Orleans in games our defense was a sieve and without Dez. Cassel has lead us to 1-4 and has looked awful...working on 1-5 tonight, and he was lucky to get the win over Wash....he didn't do much to contribute.

If Cassel had been our backup instead of Weeden, everyone would have approved....and we would still suck without Romo.

Jerry is so lost that he keeps saying how much better off they would be if they had Cassel all year. lmao. He is actually worse than Weeden which I didn't think was possible.

Weeden is better then Cassel and it woudnt matter which one was the QB, JG cant win unless everything goes perfectly on offense.

Weeden had a 90 QB rating and was at least putting up 20 points with out Dez.
