News: PFT: Jerry takes blame for entering season with Weeden as Romo’s backup

Jerruh takes the blame, then throws the coaches under the bus.
HE is the guy who hired these coaches. No other GM could suck for 20 years and still have a job.

Weeden was a better choice than Cassell. At least he had chemistry with players since he's been on the team and took first team reps for 2 years.

Pathetic, desperate, and a pure panic move by the coaches.

This is Jerrys way of saying with a full off-season Cassel will be a quality backup. Just letting everyone know he's not getting a new qb in here this off-season. Just more of the same.

Weeden is better then Cassel and it woudnt matter which one was the QB, JG cant win unless everything goes perfectly on offense.

Weeden had a 90 QB rating and was at least putting up 20 points with out Dez.

Can't argue. He stunk and the qbr was from 2 yard completions and i would still take him over cassel. I can't remember any qb playing this bad and not getting benched ever.

Even with all his check downs Weeden still had a high YPA then Cassel.

The bar is so low. But i agree weeden is better. Never could have imagined how crap cassel is. I had the memory of him coming to Big D with KC and being a firey tough qb that sent the game to overtime and it took Miles career 250 yard day to beat them. This guy has none of that guy left in him.

"Jerry takes blame..."

Accountability! Finally!!!

oh, wait....

weeden was the tip of the iceberg. the whole team is bad this year. a good backup qb would not have changed much.

Cowboys owner and General Manager Jerry Jones has offered some criticism for his team’s coaching staff. But he’s also accepting some criticism himself.
