Surprise surprise. He's still mad about it today yet didn't do a thing about it on the field. Get over it. This team being full of ******* is getting really old.

Cowboys won that rematch, btw.

I think Bradie's improved play was due much more to a better scheme than to being mad at Jon Kitna.

That and he's taken off 20 pounds.

But it still takes motivation to improve. It's very easy for somebody to get frustrated after a year like that and not make any real strides to improve. Or to refuse to drop the weight or whatever. One of the things I emphasize with Martellus Bennett is that he needs to believe that he can be better and outplay Jason Witten because he does indeed have the ability to do so. That's why I'm glad we've got a guy like John Garrett as TE coach to stay on Bennett...lesser coaches would see a player like Bennett just kind of give up and be comfortable as a backup.

The Patriots use this type of motivation all of the time. I often think it's really silly and even sillier that the media slurps it up like they were residents of Jonestown. But, it does seem to help motivate their players and I really don't see much difference in what Bradie is doing.

Yes, but it was done w/out much help from Bradie, who was supposed to be farting lightning and shooting hellfire from his eyes after being disrespected/"slandered" by Kitna.

He did jack THEN, when he should have been at his angriest. I think THAT is the point.

Bradie does a great job, so there's no point in telling him again to do something he's already doing.

As for the spokesperson part, I don't think he needs to be elected spokesperson for Bradie James, which is the only person he's speaking for.

I suspect he didn't just show up at the station and start talking, which means he was probably invited. From that we can infer that people are likely to be interested in his opinions. Acting as an elected spokesperson for Idgit, I'll go on the record and say that I thought James did a really, really good job in his interviews this week.

P.T. Barnum was right.

To me one of the beautiful things about football is you don't have to "get even" with anyone, you can just hit 'em in practice. He'll get his shots at Kitna without making it personal or some kind of vendetta at all. Just leave it on the field.

I love the way James picked up his performance last season. He was a guy I've always seen as a borderline JAG, but last season genuinely developed into a borderline Pro Bowler.

But as I alway say in these threads, I typically cringe when I hear (or in this case read) him talk. For a supposed leader and voice of the defense, his comments rub me the wrong way more than I'd like.

And this isn't me jumping off the cliff off this one post. I can tolerate a lot. I sometimes cringe at some of the things Bennett or Roy say, but can typically step away moments later and realize I'm nitpicking. Bradie's one of the guys though that, unfortunately, I just generally dislike his train of thought and have trouble gaining a different perspective even when I take a step back.

I don't think you are in the minority on this one.
