Then it is time for him to make his own breaks. Change how you live your life is the best thing he could do.

Wrack up $20k in credit card debt, don't pay anything on it for 1.5 years and then tell the debt collectors "Hey, it's just $20k. What's the big deal? That should be nothing to you guys." See how far that flies.

it's only May of 2008, it's only been 8 mos. It still is a sign of poor decisions, but let's not over-exaggerate things

Pacman is small potatoes for Casinos they have major whales that come there that are playing for Millions. Pacman does nothing for them.

I guess they do get some form of notoriety from this. Future visitors to Vegas may think "Let's stay at that place where Pacman or Charles owes money."

Actually he does -- people know who he is. they see him there, they stay longer, they tell there friends who they saw at the casino, etc.

The Whales have a very different impact -- few people know who they are, the casino kisses their butts b/c they often lose tons of money. Guys like Pacman are more about putting ***** in the seats so to speak.

I think the bigger issue here is that once again something has come up which makes the NFL look bad and Pacman's name is attached to it.

Goodell doesn't want this stuff to be discussed in the public and each time it is the list of 'Pacman issues' just grows and grows.

Pacman has to now be on top of every little thing in his life and somehow, someway he needs to make sure stuff like this never even gets to within one step of becoming an issue which is fodder for a newspaper.

He can say all he wants that it's his lawyers fault or that it's not a big issue because the money will be paid off and blah blah blah. But right now there is a headline in a big city newspaper that is stating at some point an arrest warrant may be issued for Adam 'Pacman' Jones.

We can all say it's not a big deal, but the only person that matters here is Roger Goodell. If it's something that isn't 'old news' to him then it is a big deal.

I think Jerry needs to bring Pacman into his office and literally go over every little detail in his life as if this was his child and then address all of those things with a fine tooth comb.

Only then would I be comfortable that there are not going to be any more stories coming out before this guy actually gets reinstated.

"He hasn't been playing football, so he hasn't been able to pay it back"?

What? Has this guy already flushed all the money he got as a #6 overall pick just a few years ago? Twenty thousand should be nothing to him.

I'm in there with theebs -- I'd rather this guy never played for us and Jenkins and Scandrick turned out to be players.

He hasn't sold his enormous box house yet.

Soon he will, and he might even profit enough to pay back half of his marker.

How do you know that hasn't already happened?

The thing that is more important is that this issue just once again illustrates that Pacman does not have great judgment. Whether it is that he chooses to gamble and take out markers when he knows he is tight on funds or that he doesn't make sure that he or his agents/lawyers make sure his debts are paid. The guy really can't be trusted. I like the fact that Jerry got this guy for very cheap. That way if he flames out he really won't hurt the franchise and I think he will flame out. If he doesn't, then that will be okay with me. I just think the odds are against it based on his history.

Jordan and Barkley maybe, but I'm not entirely sure PacMan and his ATL thug posse hangers on that come with him are exactly the image the casinos want to be associated with.

Well, maybe Circus Circus.

I just disagree. I think if you see Pacman in Vegas the patrons should be running for cover: laugh2:. I doubt many people would care if Pacman was there or not. He is not of the caliber of a Jordan or some mega star and I don’t think he does anything for the casino business
