The incident did occur in September of 2007 and every day he did not pay it back kept the issue alive. Bad judgment to get into the situation and worse judgment not to get it taken care of before today.

Not disagreeing with you about his poor judgement, but according to his agent, they'd been trying to work with the DA's office to handle the matter while they attempted to liquidate some assets. More than likely his house.

When this all came out, his agent probably cut the check to reduce the drama surrounding it until Pac gets reinstated.
