Seems like you would pick one or the other, not easy to be out bangin when you got two-a-days and normal practices, games etc etc etc. I was pretty freakin busy with sports.

Yeah man I feel you. If a pro player was still in a gang and still highly affilated with on, dont u think it would have been picked up at

1. High School level
2. College level
3. by the team scouting, personal and security departments.

Well, there is the possibility of someone being in one growing up, slowly moving up to the pros and taking a moment to celebrate and "show a little luv" to his old set.

It amazes me it has taken this long to crack down on this. This has been going on for years and they just now address it? Maybe I'm just a traditionalist, but play the game, be a man, and leave that crap out of it.

I guess I'm in the minority judging by some of the comments here, and apparently many of you wouldn't have a problem with a group of kindergarteners flashing a gang sign because they saw their favorite player/role model do so on national TV.

As far as a sign having a different meaning...it's pretty darn simple. You tell the players 'Do these signs, get fined. You want to say hello to your peeps back home, come up with another way...in fact...we're pretty sure you can all afford cellphones to go with those inexpensive vehicles you're driving around nowadays. You're here to play football...leave it at that."

The league has officials watching all the games looking for any fineable offenses. There was a story on that last season. So they won't be doing anything that haven't already been doing for a long time.
