on "The Break" today Eatman and Broaddus were sayin he could play our last two games and into the playoffs because the appeal will probably last into the off-season, I guess because its for a yr long suspension the appeals take longer apparently?

Suspended Cowboys pass rusher Randy Gregory will not be allowed to return to practice this week, the NFL announced.

Per Albert Breer of the MMQB.com, the NFL informed Gregory he was “not in compliance” and therefore can not practice with his teammates on Wednesday. The Cowboys confirmed that report on their official website.

Gregory is currently serving a 14-game suspension. Breer had reported earlier Tuesday that Gregory would be eligible to return to practice this week.

How about just not opening a thread that you have no interest in, and making it radio active with replies like that.
That post reminds me of the saying:
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than speak and remove all doubt."

I'm not calling the poster a fool by any means, but that is what the post reminds me of.

What the hell does "in compliance" mean?

I take it as NFL speak stating "you're suspended."

Randy Gregory and the NFLPA should take legal action.

Players coming off long suspensions are allowed to begin practicing two weeks before they will become eligible to play.

Gregory needs to get on the practice field and get acclimated to being hit.

This is unequivocally in the best interests of the player.

The NFL looks so mickey mouse at times, if he's going to be further disciplined then why not announce it ASAP, if not then just announce when he can return. Why is it so difficult for this league to get its act together in regards to discipline? Doesn't even make sense as to how they communicate with teams and fans (you know the customers). I have said before if we need to move on from Gregory then do it, but if we can get him back for a couple regular season games and the playoffs then why not? He at least an extra body for the defense and even if we only use him on obvious passing plays, why not? It's not like our pass rush can turn away an extra pass rusher at this point, and he'll be well rested. And if he's suspended for pot use, then the nflpa needs to get this changed...of all the legal and illegal drugs out there, pot is safer than aspirin...just don't drive while using.

Lane Johnson was allowed to play while appealing his 10 gamer, why wouldn't Gregory? That's why people think he would, pay attention
Gregory's second suspension, the 10 game one, is not over yet....that is why he can't practice yet

The NFL is saying when his suspension is over after Week 15(2 more games) then he can practice....until then he can work out and attend meetings but not officially practice

I also thought that was the case but I haven't found that anywhere in the CBA or Drug Policy

I understand (well, do now, thanks for clarification), but whoever I was replying to was saying he's not coming back at all, and that anyone who thinks he will is clueless. That was my point. Even if they do say he's suspended for the year, the appeal process should allow us to use him at the end of this season.
