Just as I thought. Blame for everything bad, no credit for anything good.
Well given OBJ has yet to be signed, I would wait to see what Jerry does as his desire to remain news relevant may make him sign OBJ in spite of not attending the workout.

How about former Chiefs WR and current free agent Mecole Hardman? He is coming off abdominal surgery in February and while not an often used WR in KC, a 25-year old WR that ran a 4.33 forty at his combine and has 4-years of NFL experience (151 catches for 2,088 and 16 TD's) and was a dangerous kick returner last season should draw the eyes of Dallas.
He's never lived up to the hype imo. They traded Hill and got JuJu, MVS, Toney and Moore so the Chiefs didn't believe in him either. That's not much production for a 4 year career.

True, as it would be like Jerry to do so. But by not going to the workout may say a lot. Jerry already knew his asking price or a range anyway.

And here is my reasoning. Say it was a WR that most wanted to get on here, say oh, if Mike Evans was available, and they did not go. How many would be blasting Jerry and son for having no interest and don't know what they are doing. That they are stupid and cheap.
That is what I meant by my post.

I wouldn’t pay that nut job 20 dollars.
He is a cancer.
Cowboys already have enough issues without bringing in this idiot.
This guy's not a cancer, stop lsitening to Skip and SAS, what he actually is is a Super Bowl Champion who was performing great in the most important game of his life until his injury.

Is there the need for a #1WR with Lamb?

I had doubts about him being a #1 coming in because a lot of his college game was about YAC against Big 12 DB's but he has shown me he can step up and perform.

What they need is a stronger #2 and if Gallup gets 100%, they've got 2 of those.

Jerry's a good owner. The team has first class facilities. He does a great job of taking care of them. And that's where Jerry should stop. Not signing OBJ is something any idiot could figure out for the price OBJ wants. You want props for Jerry? The day he hires a real GM will be the day that I give him credit for making a great decision on running and leading the team. Until then, he's just an over attached figure head who hasn't got the first clue on how to be a true leader.

Agree with the bolded part 100%.
I was being facetious about the props somewhat, but seems appropriate. Was not aimed at you, but just in general.

Too many times he is blamed for bad stuff, but rarely gets props for good stuff, or it was because of someone else that did it.

Jerry isn't going to get in a bidding war for any free agent . If multiple teams show interest then Jerry is out. That's why when I read that 10 teams were showing interest in Wagner I ended my hopes of the Cowboys signing him.

I agree hence he should come at a more affordable salary than an OBJ while being able to possibly offer a similar stat sheet....the only thing he is missing is the 'name' that Jerry often adores.

OBJ will get close to what he's asking for due to not having to give up draft picks to get him. Jacobi Myers is asking for 20 million in a weak wr free agent market, if I'm OBJ I'm asking for 20 million also.

This whole "Jerry is a good owner" has to stop. He's a terrible owner that won't hire a real GM.

Well in the case of OBJ I hope by not attending it signals Dallas has zero interest in signing him as there is simply too much baggage in terms of drama that comes with OBJ.

Bye!!!!

Two things........this explains the private workout for multiple teams and why Jerry hasn't signed him. In other words, he's chasing the money.
BTW......Spotrac puts his value a $13.1M. Silly me, I thought that was a bit high, lol.

Hell, give the Bucs a day-three pick and trade for Mike Evans

Odell Beckham Jr. is still looking for $20 million per year

Jerry is 300-246 with 3 superbowls, the most valuable franchise in sports, and has led several projects that make the game what it is today. Him speaking to the media makes me cringe and the lack of willingness to address certain positions year after year makes me roll my eyes, but it's also hard to find owners with better resumes than him. I think it's time for Jerry to move on, but I struggle to say he's a terrible owner. My fear is we see what a terrible owner looks like once Stephen does take completely over.

Depends on what we mean by #1 receiver. Do we need a top target to take attention and maybe even targets from Lamb? No. Do the Cowboys need someone who can truly play the X position? Absolutely. While I'm fine with calling Lamb a #1 receiver he also plays half of his snaps from the slot, which is where many teams try to find budget players or a quick hit in the draft. IMO they still need another player who can line up outside and on the LOS, even if Gallup gets back to form.

That's like Egypt claiming to be a Great Empire because they have the pyramids.

No thanks, not for him. If it was Diggs or maybe Hopkins, sure, but not for OBJ. Thielan would probably be cheaper though and better.
