That's like Egypt claiming to be a Great Empire because they have the pyramids.
Well for what it is worth, from a historical standpoint Egypt was in fact one of the greatest empires in the world for the better part of 3,000 years from around 3100 BC to around 50 BC.....and you have to appreciate the marvel of the great pyramids given their perfect alignment along the cardinal points of north, east, west, south and the overall base dimensions are within a few centimeters of being exactly the same....quite the accomplishment given the 'antiquated' equipment for the time.

Giants can have him now.I just hope this doesnt force a WR pick early as it may turn into another Joseph pick.

OBJ will get close to what he's asking for due to not having to give up draft picks to get him. Jacobi Myers is asking for 20 million in a weak wr free agent market, if I'm OBJ I'm asking for 20 million also.
he wont get that in real Money maybe one of these made up 4 year deal 2 years optional voidable years, where guarantees only pay 24 of his 80..so its really 2 years 24mil..if im gm i give him 10mil base and then so many escalators to build his pay up like each game he pays, achieving 1k yards , achieving 10+ tds, playing in the playoffs etc all can get him a lot more money but as high risk injury prone up in age player no way he gets guaranteed 20mil per..

sorry you believe he wil get that i say 100% he wont get one offer for that..hes not a starter hes a 2a guy his stats over the last 4 years says Hes a fine backup.. backups do NOT make 20mil those players that require a draft pick are far superior to OBJ right now ie Dhop etc

Jerry will not pay that and im glad in this type of situation Jerrys not all in type.

This guy's not a cancer, stop lsitening to Skip and SAS, what he actually is is a Super Bowl Champion who was performing great in the most important game of his life until his injury.
I don’t watch any of those clowns or any of the media garbage.
You can slobber all over the loser all you want but the Cowboys don’t need this head case.
He certainly isn’t or ever was worth 20 million a year.

Bye!!!!

Two things........this explains the private workout for multiple teams and why Jerry hasn't signed him. In other words, he's chasing the money.
BTW......Spotrac puts his value a $13.1M. Silly me, I thought that was a bit high, lol.

Hell, give the Bucs a day-three pick and trade for Mike Evans

They also line up almost precisely the same as Orion's Belt, and are in the near center of all landmass on Earth.

Jerry's a good owner. The team has first class facilities. He does a great job of taking care of them. And that's where Jerry should stop. Not signing OBJ is something any idiot could figure out for the price OBJ wants. You want props for Jerry? The day he hires a real GM will be the day that I give him credit for making a great decision on running and leading the team. Until then, he's just an over attached figure head who hasn't got the first clue on how to be a true leader.
First sentence, what is the primary job of every owner? Finding and hiring his GM. He is not a good owner.

Obj is a backup type?
he is now.. yup all day every day..meanign hes #2, 2A at best. you think he can be conte doing for 16-17 games and get you 1200yards and 10tds ?? lmao

come on wake up hes been hyping himself up for 18 months as some savior, some maybe buying it IM NOT, show me his last 3 years of production, I'll show you a backup. he can be best as 2 or 3 not having to beat top corners and being free to make big plays..that what we need a

we need compliment to lamb and gallup not a replacement for them...TY is good example of what we need but for full season. just make few big plays here and there..Id draft a wr in the first before id pay OBJ anything over 12.. hes just not that guy anymore.

It amazes me that some still push that good owner crap. I don’t care what he accomplishes financially for himself or the rest of the league without his singular responsibility to the team.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t want him because of potential headaches and I kinda doubt he’s going to be motivated for a full 17 game season….BUT $20M isn’t that crazy. He’ll probably get around 15 with incentives to make upwards of $20M. When you look at the WR contracts signed last year and factor in that the cap went up over $20M (and continuing to rise), OBJ and his agent starting the asking price at $20M/year makes sense. In the 2023 market $20M is high end #2WR $. Provided his knee is 100% medically cleared of course.

Plus, he is still able to live off that memory of stepping up when Kupp wasn't a factor in the SB. That is also stuck in some of the heads of the GM's.
