OBJ will get close to what he's asking for due to not having to give up draft picks to get him. Jacobi Myers is asking for 20 million in a weak wr free agent market, if I'm OBJ I'm asking for 20 million also.
Agree, especially when you factor in that for CAP purposes he'll cost, what, possibly $5m in 2023 and then there's the big CAP Raise in 2024. Prices are rising and will continue to do so, in 2024 $20m doesnt get you in the top 15 paid WR's.

he is now.. yup all day every day..meanign hes #2, 2A at best. you think he can be conte doing for 16-17 games and get you 1200yards and 10tds ?? lmao

come on wake up hes been hyping himself up for 18 months as some savior, some maybe buying it IM NOT, show me his last 3 years of production, I'll show you a backup. he can be best as 2 or 3 not having to beat top corners and being free to make big plays..that what we need a

we need compliment to lamb and gallup not a replacement for them...TY is good example of what we need but for full season. just make few big plays here and there..Id draft a wr in the first before id pay OBJ anything over 12.. hes just not that guy anymore.
How many WR’s do you think start on an NFL team? Again, I don’t want OBJ, but it’s pretty easy to make an argument that he can still be a top 30ish WR.

People are acting like we didn’t just sign Gallup for $12M/year fresh of an ACL tear. When both are healthy there really isn’t a comparison

He’ll be 31 this year and had injuries to both knees. That catches up quick. That price would have to come down drastically!

actually Gallup only made 4 last year. they structured that knowing he could be limited year 1 back.11mil this year and 12 next but 2 years 23 mil that all he was guaranteed, there is your comp, 3 our of the last 4 years OBJ has been under 500yards and hasnt finished the season, so 20mil lmao you are brain washed..hes nOT old OBJ you do not pay payer 20mil that cant be depended on..so my 10-12mil base is valid give him a lot of chances to earn more with pay time and stats,

..gallup had an 1100 yard year a few years back and we do NOT NEED a 20mil player to go with Lamb and Gallup. if you think he can start 17 games for team somewhere, i wish that team luck we aren't looking for starter..,

we would have kept AC if that was the plan.. the plan is Lamb WR1, Gallup as wr2 but could use a playmaker in the slot or to take the top off the d as 2a or 3rd option something brown can not do hes basic possession receiver.

OBJ at 20MIL is not fit here nay more then cooper was as his stats started to decline with Lamb being primary target, id take cooper over OBJ..

I don’t watch any of those clowns or any of the media garbage.
You can slobber all over the loser all you want but the Cowboys don’t need this head case.
He certainly isn’t or ever was worth 20 million a year.
OBJ has a super bowl but now he's a loser. Damn fool,:lmao::lmao:

Yeah this is what the people that are responding negatively to me fail to get, I'm not saying that he's going to get 20 mil but what I'm saying is don't be surprised if he gets close to that. The market is getting crazy!!!!! Teams have figured out that the more weapons you give your franchise qb the more you get out of that investment. Jacobi Myers is asking for 20 mil, why shouldn't OBJ? This free agent class is full of number 2 borderline number 3 wrs. I want a number 2 that has been a number 1 before. Thielan, Dhop, OBJ and S. Diggs fit the mode I'm looking for, we have a 2 year window and don't have time to wait on developing a draft pick. We need someone that opposing defenses respect.

You mean to tell me that the Joneses traded Amari Cooper for a 5th round pick and to replaced him drafted a wr in the 3rd round from a small school (2 receptions and 1 boneheaded penalty @GB), signed James Washington (1 target 0 catches) and depended on Gallup while "knowing he could be limited year 1"? DO YOU SEE WHAT WE'RE WORKING AGAINST?

There's a perverse logic that those fans claiming he's not worth it......are probably in agreement with STEPHEN. The cost of WR's (and especially with the increasing CAP) is going to mean a marked rise in costs (even for a no.2).

Why is there a guaranteed acl injury waiting for him to run by? Can he get hurt, yes just as m7ch as every other player.

you don't pay a high risk oft injured player that much money ..sorry its fact. Lets see which team takes that 20MIL AND ITS ALL GUARANTEED, my bet that not what he gets he will get around13 with a way to earn more but not a lot guaranteed, 3 knee surgery's the last 4 years those 3 years under 500 yard productions. That not normal and that doesn't command 20milthat would be terrible for our team for jerry to pay that for OBJ

Yeah you remember the early Dak contract talks when he was asking for 30 million a year? People were up in arms but look at the market now. The NFL is printing money Tyreek Hill is making 30 million APY.

Personally, I think Darius Slayton would be a PERFECT addition to the offense. He would:
  • be cheaper than most of the others names
  • is still young (26)
  • hasn’t had any major injuries
  • has had some production w/ less-than-stellar QB play
  • IS A DEEP THREAT
While Gallup returning to pre-injury levels (2019 Gallup specifically) is a HUGE part to the equation that is the bettering of the WR Corp., Slayton would make a decent #2 and a REALLY GOOD #3. Just my $.02.

I think Slayton would be a good signing here.

May not be $20m per, but to get him we'll have to overpay, it's the nature of free agency. Cooks will come with an $18m Base Salary (and much valued draft capital picks), and DeHop $19m and may have to go to surrendering a 1st (depending on other offers).

well Im looking for 20 million a year also. Ive always been looking for 20 million a year. Still havent gotten any takers though.

OBJ at his age, coming off that knee injury... he is absolutely misjudging the market. NOBODY is gonna come close to a 20 million per year offer to him.

So,true. His one handed catch act is getting old. Even in his highlight moment as a giant he pushed off to make that incredible catch
Yep, like Odell’s the only WR, TE or RB to make a one handed catch. Hell, Beasley’s sideline catch against the back of his shoulder pads was far more impressive.

I for sure thought the flag that was thrown would be on Odell. Was surprised when they called it on Carr.

IMO...I say we bring back T.Y. and with a full offseason of chasing down Dak's on the money passes I'm thinking an easy 50-600 regular season. This would allow for some more O-line FA's.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t want him because of potential headaches and I kinda doubt he’s going to be motivated for a full 17 game season….BUT $20M isn’t that crazy. He’ll probably get around 15 with incentives to make upwards of $20M. When you look at the WR contracts signed last year and factor in that the cap went up over $20M (and continuing to rise), OBJ and his agent starting the asking price at $20M/year makes sense. In the 2023 market $20M is high end #2WR $. Provided his knee is 100% medically cleared of course.
Robert Woods just signed with the Texans for 2 years $15.25 million. The last time either had 1,000 yards was 2019. Woods had 936 yards in 2020. OBJ had 319 in 2020 and hasn't passed that since. Guys coming off injuries usually have to sign prove it deals. Escpecially when they get into their 30s.
