PFT: Parsons not at Cowboys first day of voluntary offseason work

I wonder how common this is, like across the league, the guys that are expecting $20mm paydays or making that much, if they show up or not.
Yup, how's that for incentive? You get paid big bucks whether you win, lose, or sleep through the game. No incentive whatsoever.

Rather simple.....why step on the field or the workout room when employer is messing with YOUR money? Why?

Was there a complete list of 'no shows', as it does seem a bit of a witch hunt. It's a voluntary practice.....and Micah's problem isnt him trying, it's more so spreading his effort to help maintain form into December/January.
There is an article/tweet out there ( tried to post some of last night but it was deleted ) that his absence has nothing to do with contract issues. He is currently working out with his trainer via a personalized training program. As a matter of fact, it also noted he did the same thing last year.

Maybe Risen can post more about it.......mod won't allow me

Yeah that’s a total culture thing, now maybe every team is like this, but these guys are going to get paid

But Micah the Mouth is the one always extolling hard work and what it means to be a leader, a lion, and now he's treating voluntary camp like it might be a bad thing.

I don't care about voluntary anything. Would you want to be around this circus when you didn't have to be? Plus we're only a few months removed from a playoff game in which nobody on the team wanted to play in, so is it really surprising there are no-shows at voluntary workouts??

It 'might' be a bad thing, but it's more likely by December we'll be complaining that he's burnt out.

"What do 'voluntary' mean?"

Not on the first page of posts?

Guess that was a while ago.

Getting old.

Second.

His next contract will be worth 100mil+. If he doesn't get injured.

I'd be home packed in bubble wrap.

Most guys work out own their own nowadays or with friends from other teams at these sports clinics.

Not showing for a voluntary workout is such a nothingburger nowadays.
