How can you trust the player you keep over him. :lmao2:

What are you talking about? How can you trust a player who hasn’t had an addiction problem that got him kicked out of the NFL for a year more than you trust Gregory? Um, VERY EASILY!!!

If the only bad thing about you is you smoke weed.......that's pretty good.
Sure. I tend to agree if the "you" isn't someone signed to play a professional sport where it's (currently) illegal. Dude has no willpower. Does he need to get a weed guru to help him like Dez's little side show?

There are 90 roster spots going into TC, he would already be better than at least 40 of them. Let him earn his spot and beat out the other 7 to be on the 53. I believe he would be better than the 53rd guy.

Your math is a little off, but I agree that he deserves a shot to make the roster if he gets reinstated.

This is Win-Win for the Cowboys.

If Gregory is reinstated, at WORST, he's a camp body.

at BEST, if he's clean, he can provide depth when charles tapper gets hurt.

Probably take a year to get back into football shape and instincts. If hes been training since.

Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory is close to applying for reinstatement, David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Gregory, 25, has not played in the NFL since Week 17 of the 2016 season. The NFL banned him for repeated violations of the league’s substance abuse policy.
mr Hawkeye---- i put a platinum guarantee the Randy Gregory would play for cowboys in 2018...i was getting nervous..but this is one step closer to 2nd best defensive line in NFL...( Rams with Suh and Donald )....Lawrence..Irving ( or Vea ) Collins , gregory...that is a bad bad bad line ...ready to kick some serious butt and go to playoffs

Will be interesting to see what happens if he gets reinstated but it’s pointless if the team already knows they will never trust him enough to give him a spot on the final roster.
mr cowboy--Gregory is not a violent person or gets into a lot of trouble..he had issue with weed and has been clean for 2 years...Jones loves him and so do I

mr Kingo---- this I do not know....i have heard from reliable sources he has been clean for 2 years....i am assuming part of his recovery was a killer workout routine..it helped me when i was recovering off alcohol and drugs and i have kept it up...makes one just feel better

I hope that is the case and he makes good. I’m just making the simple point that it may be tough for the team to,trust him with a roster spot if it means cutting a good young player that they want to keep. I’m rooting for him to succeed in Dallas but can’t help to wonder what the team is really thinking.

All I think about with Gregory is how he promised he wouldn't let Marinelli down. And then how he promptly went out and let him down over and over.

I do think the guy has a legitimate medical condition, and I feel for him, but I'm not considering him even on the team until he gives a full year of playing and staying clean. What a bust he turned out to be.

mr Cowboy-- i totally get where you are coming from sir....NFL is a serious business...and a roster spot is very important....i do too hope Gregory can some how bounce back and be as good as we hoped he would be when we drafted him....that preseason in 2015..he had 3 sacks in 3 preseason games....and hurt his foot game one against Giants and was never the same the rest of the year and then got busted on pee tests....he is extremely strong too...many people do not realize his hands are like a grizzly bear....plus i know if he has been clean 2 years he has been working hard...JOnes really loves the guy and i do too...mostly for what he can do to help our D-Line...imagine Lawrence one side Gregory the other with Irving playing 1 or 3-tech?....i know for certain at least 45 sacks..we had 38 this last year...and Irving only played 8 games and had 7 sacks and 6 pass deflections ( which is 90% as good as a sack )...so that is like 12.5 sacks in 8 games...Irving will ball out this year and then we will lose him to free agency....i was thinking maybe we could trade him this year since we will lose him anyway...like middle of season maybe/..Belichek does that...so at least you get something?

He has been clean for over a year so ya, I think he has some will power. I have known people who hit rock bottom addicted to more than just weed and have turned their completely around.
