Not a chance, but lets say Eli was moved to the Commanders I don't believe that would do much better than with Campbell taking the snaps and if Campbell was on the Giants and Eli went down with an injury I don't believe that they would do much worse. (Im not saying they wouldn't do worse, they would but it wouldn't be as extreme as everyone is implying)

People on these boards act like Campbell is a joke of a QB like say; Jake Delhomme.
4-12. He only has to improve on 4-12. Eli would make the Commanders immediately better.

Thank you for validating my point and destroying your own.

I edited the post again.

My point is that they need to get O-LINE in this draft, thankfully they wont

yeah, he's just all around bad. only way he leaves is if he is cut. doubt a team would be stupid enough to trade for him..........unless he can hold for fgs:D

I agree. Or a good weather QB. Or an average weather QB. Or a QB that can play in or out of a dome.

As a matter of fact, he doesn't strike me as QB at all.

Eli moves to the Commanders, would Campbell start?

Campbell moves to the Giants, is Eli headed to the bench?

If you said yes to either option then you are out of your ever loving mind.
Agree'd.

The edit changes nothing. Campbell would never start over Eli if they were on the same team. Regardless of which team it is. Therefore your comment that he is better is pure nonsense.

He strikes me as a backup QB, not a starter.

Unlike some people I don't think that is a bad thing. There are theoretically only 96 NFL QBs at any one time. Having a guy capable of coming off the bench is a good thing. He can play, he just is not a guy who you should count on to lead your team to the promised land.

Campbell has had multiple valid excuses:

1- A new system every year
2- His top wide receiver is Santana Moss
3- He has a pathetic excuse of an offensive line that college D-lines could wreck havok on (an exaggeration but not far from the truth)
4- Heck the best asset the team gives him is an slightly below average running game, atleast it isn't terrible!

Campbell has had all the negative things against him, and in Eli Mannings career he has had alot of the greatest things you could ask for. Is Eli Manning a better QB than Campbell? You bet. If put in the same situation Eli Manning was for his entire career would Campbell be a good QB? I'd put my money on it.

So to clarify that was an exaggeration I have posted it before, but Jason Campbell is not a bad QB, you can put almost any QB taking those snaps and that team will still lose.

QB is not there biggest problem, infact I would bet if you broke down that team it would actually be one of the stronger points of the team :laugh1: Honestly during this draft if they go QB they are making a mistake, take Okung or trade down and grab multiple top O-Line prospects.

I'm not going to sit and debate Jason Campbell and why he is so terrible with you for very long, but you need to ask yourself how a QB with no former NFL experience like Sanchez in 2009 and Flacco and Ryan in 2008 can have so much success in their first NFL season and yet a guy who has been around as long as Campbell can't overcome playing in the second season of Zorn's west coast offense.

Having a new offense simply isn't an excuse.

I guarantee you if the Commanders WR's had a different QB throwing them the ball... nobody would think they are so terrible.

By the same token, if the Commanders O-Line wasn't trying to protect a guy who takes 60 seconds to diagnose what a defense is doing on any given play, their sacks and pressures given up would drop significantly. Do you remember how terrible our O-Line was at protection when Bledsoe was at QB? Did you see how better they looked with a quick thinking, hair trigger QB started playing?

As for how terrible the offense looks (#4 on your list)... well, again you can't expect anyone on that offense to look good with Campbell playing QB. It isn't an accident that you said the only thing they gave him was a half-decent running game, because Jason doesn't have to make a decision in handing the ball off. Heck, he still manages to hurt the run game though because the defense can crowd the line of scrimmage to stop the run. All coordinators have to do is to take away Campbell's first read and then they can focus on stopping the run.

Your view that Campbell has reasons for his immense suckitude is an overly-simplified, short-sighted way of making excuses.

Not true by a mile. I live in DC...and let me tell you this, Jason Campbell is a backup, BARELY. He does not throw the ball until the WR is wide open. He does not throw to spots. He does not throw the ball well to a WR that is moving....the WR has to be sitting down in a zone....standing still....or WIDE open. That to me is the definition of a high school/college QB. I thought the same thing about Vince Young coming out of Texas...if he does not see a WRs numbers...he does not throw it. Vince Young RARELY threwt the ball to moving targets in college...and hence the trouble he has had adjusting to the pro game. In the pros you have to have accuary and trust that WRs will be where they are supposed to be...if you wait for them to be COMPELETLY wide open...you will get sacked...which happens to Campbell OFTEN. Sure he needs a better OL...but he does not anticipate well.

I do think that Jason Campbell gets a bad rap, but I also think that Eli Manning is head, shoulders, and waist above Campbell as a QB.

ummmmm..Donte Whitner is available?

Hello.

Don't get too enamored with him due to where he was drafted; in four seasons, Whitner hasn't accomplished much.

1 sack
4 INT's
11 passes defended

He's also yet to play an entire season due to injuries. Any Bills fan will tell you that he gets beat deep like a ragdoll.

To me, he's like Laron Landry - a few nice hits now and then, but a liability in the secondary.

I don't think it would make sense for the Commanders to trade Campbell before the draft. Doing so just makes their intentions obvious. Then, if the Rams select Bradford, the Skins will be desperate to get Clausen. Other teams may try to jump in front of the Skins to draft Clausen (like perhaps the Seahawks), forcing the Skins to try to trade up too or leave without a starting QB. If Campbell is traded, it will be after the draft.

Adam Schefter said that the Rams will take Sam Bradford with the first pick in the draft.
